Itinerary
- Day 1
Fügen
You'll arrive at your accommodation in the Zillertal and get settled in. The valley's surrounded by mountains, so there's plenty of scenery to take in as you settle down for the evening.
- Day 2
Fügen to Hochfügen
After breakfast, walk over to the Spieljoch cable car station and head up to 1,850m. From there, you'll see across the Zillertal, Karwendel, Rofan and Kitzbuehel Alps. The hike takes you through alpine terrain with mountain pines and alpine roses. You'll pass the Gart Alm and Alpengasthaus Loas, then follow a shady trail down to Hochfuegen.

Hochfügen to Mayrhofen/Aschau
This morning, hike through alpine pasture with glacial formations and mountain ridges visible around you. You'll reach Sidanjoch and Rastkogelhuette for views of the Inn Valley and peaks. After climbing Mitterwandskopf, descend to Melchboden where the bus picks you up and drives down the Zillertaler Hohenstrasse. Take the train later to either Aschau or Mayrhofen for overnight.

Mayrhofen/Aschau to Sterzing
The bus transfers you to Schlegeis reservoir at 1,800m to begin your hike. You'll see the massive dam wall before heading uphill through rushing streams and waterfalls toward Pfitscherjoch at 2,275m. This is where you cross from Austria into Italy and South Tyrol at the main Alpine ridge. Descend through alpine pastures and mixed forest to St. Jakob, then take the bus to Sterzing for the night.

Sterzing to Bruneck/Reischach
In the morning, drive to Rodeneck Alm to start your hike. You'll trek across the Lusner-Rodenecker Alm plateau on sunny trails with the Brixen basin, Eisack Valley and Dolomites in view. Pass small mountain lakes and reach Astjoch with 360 degree views all around. There's an optional detour to Ellener Kreuz if you want. Continue via Walder Alm mountain pasture and descend to Bruneck/Reischach for overnight.

Bruneck/Reischach to Prags
Take the included cable car up to Kronplatz, a famous ski and hiking mountain. Descend over Furkel Pass into the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, one of South Tyrol's largest protected areas. The hike takes you through the shadow of the Seekofel massif across Fojedora high mountain pasture. You'll reach Pragser Wildsee, which is really the highlight, and stay there overnight.

- Day 7
Prags to Cortina
Hike through Plaetzwiese, one of the country's most popular hiking areas with extraordinary flora and wild mountain lakes. Starting from Prato Piazza, traverse Strudelkopf to reach Helltal valley. You'll see Hohe Gaisl, the Three Peaks, Tofana and Monte Cristallo on your way to Cortina for the night.
