    · March 24th, 2025
I took the 11-day Turkey tour (SC01160640), called "Contrasts of Turkey." The experience was terrible from day 1. The guides were very bad, inattentive, and had a bad attitude, more interested in taking people to shopping for a commission than in explaining the sites of interest. The hotels, although they claim to be 4 or 5-star, are very poor and old, and in remote areas (in Istanbul, it's an hour from the historic center, which is truly ridiculous). The included dinners and breakfasts are buffets, and the food is low quality and lacks variety. Horrible! The additional excursions sold by this company could almost be considered a scam: I booked the hot air balloon flight in Cappadocia with Europamundo, under pressure from a representative of these people, and they charged me USD 250. The same excursion costs no more than USD 90 in low season—truly a rip-off! -Europamundo customer service, whom I contacted regarding all of the above, only responded arrogantly and insolently, without providing any kind of response to my complaints about the poor service provided. Finally, I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING A EUROPAMUNDO TOUR. The services are poor, expensive, and the customer service is even worse.

The places visited were where we wanted to go. The trip could have been shortened in the beginning. The free time the first two days could have been condensed with the itinerary covering one day instead of two. Any chance of WiFi on the buses? Loved Ephesus, however the more than one hour shopping delay at the leather outlet, which like the other shopping stops, was not on the itinerary, took away from our time at this wonderful historical site. Also, the museum was closed at Pummakale because we arrived so late. Hotels and food were good. A rep contacted us on the night we arrived, insisted on cash in dollars for excursions. All info specifically advised trippers to have TL. I would recommend this trip to others. It was worth the cost.

Seth at made the trip. He was so knowledgeable, helpful and funny. I was claustrophobic at the underground city amd he was very concerned about me. He helped me learn about all the wonderful sites I was seeing. Turkey is a big country so there was lots of time travelling but stops were well thought out. Hi highly recommend the tour rap with Serhat as a guide

Our last stop hotel in Richmond was not good compare to others even the hotel had not provided the essential things like water in the room and there was not any store in the hotel or out of the hotel to buy water.

In overall it was a good experience. The hotel were magnificent but very far from city centers. All breakfast and most of the dinners were included and very good. The tour guide was very energetic and nice but in my opinion she’s starting and needs more knowledge and experience. In general very good tour. I highly recomended it

Overall, this was a great experience. We had Serhat as a tour guide and he was knowledgeable, informative and kind. Dealing with tourradar was great but we had some communication issues with the actual tour provider. They were slow to respond to messages, understanding that they were busy, but it led us to concerns about the quality of the trip. As it turned out, we had plenty of information once we made contact with our tour guide but that first day in town, we felt lost in regards to what to expect. As well, I felt that there was some bait & switch when it comes to the optional tours. On the tourradar site, the hot air balloon excursion was listed as 175 Euro, but to book with the tour company, it cost us 290 Euro. I was very disappointed at this situation as we book this tour based on what was documented on the website. We didn't want to miss out on this experience so we did pay for it with the tour company. As it turned out, a few people on our tour chose to book it on their own, which we didn't realize would be an option and they paid 160 Euro.I feel that there needs to be updated information documented on the website and clearer direction of what do expect on arrival on the hotel in Istanbul.
