This tour is fraudulently misrepresented by Europamundo. The brochure gives the impression that there are three tours: Secrets in White and Green (13 days), Desired Europe (16 days) and Vibrant Europe (18 days), it actually operates quite differently. Groups join and unjoin out of the group almost on a daily basis, like a hop on hop off bus. For example, we were told that 9 additional people would be joining us for Day 5 of the trip. Others exited the trip on Day 5. This happened virtually every day that it made the group very disjointed. The hotels were so far out of the cities they were supposed to be in that I’m not sure they were actually in the cities they claimed to be in. Several of the hotels were close to the airports, but all hotels were at least 20 minutes but often 30-40 minutes outside of the city. Some were in areas I would not consider safe to walk outside at night. Hotel rooms had damage, were dirty (some guests who were in the medical field concluded the carpet stains were blood) and some were near the quality of staying in an RV (recreational vehicle/camper). One bathroom was small and made fully out of plastic. While you may make assumptions based on the cost of the trip, be assured that this is an extreme budget trip. The motto of this tour seems to be: If it’s free, it’s probably in; If it costs even 1 euro, it’s probably isn’t. The map that we received in Amsterdam was a free map from Qpark (a parking company) that had such large logos that the map was essentially unusable. While I don't know for sure, I am convinced that several of the stops gave kickbacks to Europamundo as there was nothing of value at these stops other than a store. The first bus I was on - yes you will trade buses multiple times - had a toilet but it was kept locked. The next buses charged 1 euro to use the bathroom and they made sure it was per person, not per family. None of the buses had any way to charge a phone, even in the case of an emergency. And WiFi, you're kidding, right? The tour says breakfast is included, if you can get it. Another area of budget was the breakfast that was included in the tour. Some hotels had 2 different breakfasts – one for their regular guests and one extremely pared down version for the Europamondo guests. Most of the Europamundo breakfasts included predominantly breads and sandwich meat, not a proper breakfast. One hotel had a 40 minute wait for breakfast and they were out of food by the time I reached the front of the line with 50+ people behind me. Not a single piece of bread/roll or cheese was available. Another day the hotel had one single serve coffee maker (that takes 30+ seconds per person) for 150ish guests for breakfast and no other coffee options. If anything happens during the trip, you are essentially on your own. Europamundo says you should tell your tour guide about any issues and they will address them on your behalf. But the guide does nothing and neither does calling the office or the emergency number. All in all, I am very disappointed in this tour and with Europamundo. They misrepresented the tour to the point of fraud. I am filing a chargeback to get my money back. Save the headaches. Don't book this tour or anything else from Europamundo.
