- Day 1
Arrival in Colombo
Your private driver meets you at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport and takes you directly to your hotel. Hotel check-in opens at 14:00, though you might be able to check in earlier if rooms are ready. This gives you time to settle in and rest after your flight.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Minneriya National Park Safari
Early morning brings a sunrise hike up Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a 5th-century UNESCO site with landscaped gardens, ancient frescoes, and the Mirror Wall to explore. After climbing to the top, you'll get sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Then it's a 30-minute transfer to Minneriya National Park for an afternoon safari where you'll spot elephants, leopards, and sambar deer around the ancient Minneriya Tank.

Dambulla Cave Temple and Transfer to Kandy
After breakfast, you head to the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple, which sits on top of a massive rock. Inside are five cave shrines with over 150 Buddha statues and intricate murals from the 1st century BC, plus the countryside views from the top. Later you transfer to Kandy, about 2 hours away, and have the rest of the afternoon free to do as you like.

Temple of Tooth in Kandy and Pettah Bazaar in Colombo
Start at the sacred Temple of Tooth in Kandy, where the revered tooth relic of Lord Buddha is housed. The golden-roofed architecture and detailed carvings sit beside the tranquil Kandy Lake. From there, you transfer to Colombo (around 4 hours) and spend the afternoon wandering through the bustling Pettah Bazaar, checking out vibrant markets, spice shops, and sampling local street food.

Departure from Colombo
