Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Napo River Lodge
You'll fly into Coca and then get driven to a private dock where a covered boat takes you down the Napo River for two hours to reach the jungle lodge. Once you arrive, you'll meet people from the local Kichwa Añangu Community and get settled into your room. After that, the afternoon is yours to choose from two options: either hike up to a 40-meter observation tower to spot wildlife and catch the sunset from above, or take a kayak out on the river to watch the jungle sunset from the water instead.

- Day 2
Parrot Clay Lick and Kichwa Culture
Start early after breakfast and head out by motorized canoe to the Parrot Clay Lick on the Napo River in the Yasuní Biosphere Reserve. You'll look for blue-headed, yellow-crowned, and dark-headed parrots along with parakeets. Then walk the Parakeet Trail to a forest viewpoint where you can get closer looks at up to five parrot species, and if you're lucky, spot howler monkeys, tapirs, or jaguars. Later, visit the Kury Muyu intercultural center to learn about Kichwa culture, music, dances, and handicrafts directly from local women. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on Añangu Creek to see monkeys, caimans, and giant otters. By evening, you'll board an ancestral catamaran on the Napo River to hear Kichwa legends and traditional songs while enjoying roasted snacks.

- Day 3
Guayusada Ritual and Departure
If you choose to participate, join the guayusada ritual at 4:30 AM where you'll share the sacred guayusa drink and ancestral knowledge with a Kichwa family, including traditional songs and dream interpretation. After breakfast while your luggage gets packed, travel back by comfortable motor canoe to El Coca port, taking in the final views of the tropical jungle landscape on your way out.
