Itinerary
- Day 1
Darwin to Kakadu National Park
Your pickup happens between 6:15 and 6:30 AM from your Darwin hotel, so get ready early. You'll head out to Mary River Wetlands first for a cruise where you can spot birds and saltwater crocodiles in their natural habitat. From there, it's into Kakadu National Park, starting at Bowali Visitor Centre to get oriented. Cahills Crossing gives you views toward Arnhem Land, and then you'll walk around Ubirr to see ancient Aboriginal rock art. The climb up to the escarpment takes some effort but you get sunset views over Nadab Floodplain, which is really the highlight of the afternoon. By evening you're back at your private camp where you'll help put together dinner.

- Day 2
Kakadu National Park
This day focuses on Kakadu's best natural areas. You'll take walks through monsoon forests and swim in plunge pools that sit beneath tall escarpments. Your guide decides which waterfalls work best depending on weather and how your group is doing, so options like Motor Car Falls, Moline Rockhole, Maguk, or Jim Jim Falls might be on the menu. If there's time left, Burrungkuy shows you rock paintings that go back over 20,000 years. Dinner and downtime happen back at camp in the evening.

Kakadu National Park to Litchfield National Park to Darwin
After breakfast you leave Kakadu behind and travel toward Litchfield National Park. This place has sandstone plateaus, streams, and waterfalls scattered throughout. You'll swim at some of the park's best spots such as Buley Rockholes, Florence Falls, or Wangi Falls where natural pools let you cool off. Before heading back to Darwin, you check out the Magnetic and Cathedral Termite Mounds, which show some remarkable insect engineering. You arrive back in Darwin around 7:00 PM, finishing up the tour.
