Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Siem Reap
Touch down in Cambodia and get transferred to your hotel in Siem Reap for three nights. Later that evening, your Cambodian tour director meets with you to go over what's coming up during the trip.
- Day 2
Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm
Start the day at Angkor Thom, the former royal city of the Khmer Empire. From there, head to Ta Prohm temple where trees and vines have grown over the ancient structures. Afternoon is yours to wander through local markets or sign up for optional activities. Later, catch Phare, The Cambodian Circus for performances featuring acrobatics, music and dance.

Angkor Wat and Apsara Dance
Get up early to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat, then walk through this UNESCO site with its detailed carvings and elaborate stone work. The afternoon lets you explore Siem Reap on your own or join optional tours if you'd like. Dinner happens at Satcha Handicraft Centre with an Apsara dance performance, which ties together local culture and dining.

Siem Reap to Prek K'Dam River Cruise
Leave Siem Reap and travel to Prek K'Dam to board the Emerald Cruises Star-Ship. Stop at Kampong Kdei to see Angkor Bridge and grab lunch at a local spot. Meet the captain and crew, then set sail along the Tonle River heading toward Kampong Tralach, where dinner happens on the ship.

Landmarks/POIs Angkor Bridge - Day 5
Kampong Tralach to Phnom Penh
Start with an ox cart ride to a local temple in Kampong Tralach, then drive out to Oudong, once Cambodia's royal capital. Monks at Oudong Monastery offer a traditional Buddhist blessing. After that, cruise back toward Phnom Penh with free afternoon time at Central Market or relaxing on deck. Evening brings a tour by remork, the local tuk-tuk style transport.

Phnom Penh and Royal Palace
Learn Cambodia's complex history visiting the Killing Fields at Choeung Ek and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Grab lunch on the ship at a Cambodian Street Fair, then tour the Royal Palace with its French-influenced gardens. A cultural show by the Cambodian Student and Children's Organisation happens before sailing toward Vietnam's border.

Border Crossing to Tan Chau, Vietnam
Cross into Vietnam and sail to Tan Chau. Take a sampan to Evergreen Island to visit a local farming community and learn how residents live and work. Check out the recently renovated Cao Dai temple and return by cyclo. The evening features a Lion Dance performance aboard the ship.

Cu Lao Gieng and My An Hung Island
Ride a motorcycle rickshaw through Cu Lao Gieng to see how locals farm mangoes, construct boats and make incense. Head back by sampan to rejoin the ship, then sail to My An Hung Island where you'll experience rural village life focused on chilies and peppers. Listen to folk singing and walk through coconut farms.

Sa Décand Cái Bè
Take a sampan to Sa Déc, a quieter spot in the Mekong Delta. Walk through town and see the home of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le that inspired Marguerite Duras' novel. Check out the central market, then return by sampan for lunch while heading to Cái Bè. Visit Tan Phong island's fruit orchards and try water hyacinth weaving, then see local workshops making rice paper and sweets.

Cho Gao Canal to Ho Chi Minh City
After leaving My Tho, the ship enters the Cho Gao canal, a major waterway with over 1,800 vessels passing through daily. Spend time on deck taking in mangroves, cargo barges and fishing boats. Later, dock in Ho Chi Minh City and watch the city lights from the ship. Vietnamese customs don't allow passengers to leave the vessel while docked.

Departure from Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, get transferred from the ship to Ho Chi Minh City airport for your departure flight home or to your next destination.
