Itinerary
- Day 1
Las Vegas
You'll arrive in Las Vegas with your day pretty much wide open. If you get there early, there's plenty to do. Grab a meal at one of the celebrity chef restaurants, check out the Eiffel Tower replica, or swing by the Bellagio Fountains to catch the water show. The city has some solid museums if that's more your speed. At 6 pm, head to the welcome meeting where you'll meet your leader and other travelers on the tour.

- Day 2
Las Vegas to Zion National Park
Head out from Las Vegas this morning toward Zion National Park in Utah, which is about a 3-hour drive. Once you arrive, your leader takes you on a guided hike through the park. The trails wind along the Virgin River with those famous steep red cliffs towering overhead. After the hike, settle into your campsite near the park. Later in the evening, you can do some stargazing and just soak in the natural quiet.

- Day 3
Zion National Park to Bryce Canyon National Park
Drive from Zion to Bryce Canyon National Park, heading east through Utah. The park has tons of scenic rim stops where you can take photos of the distinctive crimson hoodoos, those weird spire-shaped rock formations that make the place so unique. You'll hit several viewpoints throughout the day. By evening, you're settled at your campsite right near the park.

- Day 4
Bryce Canyon National Park to Grand Canyon National Park
Travel to Grand Canyon National Park and spend your first of two nights here. Once you arrive and get oriented, take a walk along the rim and find a spot to watch the sunset. The light changes everything at the canyon, and the views shift as the sun moves. It's one of those things that's worth just standing there and taking it in.

Grand Canyon National Park
Start early with your leader for a guided tour of the South Rim. You'll stop at several major viewpoints and see famous sights like Granite Rapids and Monument Canyon, finishing up at Hermit's Rest. After the tour ends, the rest of the day is yours to do what you want. Renting a bike works well if you want to cover more ground without as much walking.

Grand Canyon National Park to Joshua Tree National Park
Leave the Grand Canyon and drive west along Route 66, stopping in Seligman, Arizona, a small town loaded with retro Americana. You can wander through shops and grab lunch at old-school diners. Then continue into California toward Joshua Tree National Park, where you'll find weird rock formations, desert plants you won't see anywhere else, and hidden palm oases scattered throughout.

- Day 7
Joshua Tree National Park to Los Angeles
Leave Joshua Tree this morning and head to Los Angeles, arriving around 4 pm where the tour finishes. If you're extending your trip, head down to Venice Beach to walk the boardwalk or hit up Santa Monica Pier to watch the sun drop into the ocean.
