- Day 1
Copenhagen
You'll arrive in Copenhagen and head to the hotel on your own. Once you get settled, take time to walk around and get a feel for the city before meeting your tour leader at the hotel reception later.

Copenhagen to Aarhus
After breakfast at the hotel, a local guide takes you on a panoramic tour through Copenhagen showing you the old architecture, Nyhavn district, Amalienborg Palace, Christianborg Palace, and the Little Mermaid statue. Later in the afternoon, you'll head by ferry to Aarhus.

Aarhus to Hirtshals
You'll have breakfast at the hotel, then join a local guide for a historical tour of Aarhus. Check out the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral and wander through Denmark's second largest city, which was European Capital of Culture in 2017. In the afternoon, travel north to Hirtshals and board an overnight cruise to Norway.

Stavanger

Stavanger to Bergen
You'll drive to Bergen by taking two ferries along the way. Once there, you have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, a guide takes you walking through Bergen to see the fish market and the Hanseatic Quarter, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There's also an optional chance to ride the Floibanen funicular up Floyen mountain for views across the city.

Bergen to Balestrand
From breakfast, head to Voss to start a remarkable train journey on the Bergen Railway, climbing almost 900 meters with fjord views the whole way. Then you'll board the Flåm Railway from Myrdal, one of the world's steepest train routes with 20 tunnels and waterfalls. After arriving in Flåm, explore the village and cruise on Sognefjord to Balestrand, surrounded by mountains and nature.

Travel through mountains, valleys, and landscapes dotted with villages, using ferries to get around. You'll stop to visit Borgund Church, a wooden structure from 1180 AD. As the day continues, you'll head toward Lake Tyrifjord and arrive in Oslo by afternoon.

Oslo to Karlstad
