Itinerary
- Day 1
Dimapur to Kohima
You'll arrive in Dimapur and get a real sense of local life right away by walking through the lively markets where you can see colorful handicrafts everywhere. Head over to Diezephe Craft Village to watch artisans working with intricate handloom and woodwork, which gives you a good feel for the craftsmanship here. After that, you'll drive through the lush hills heading to Kohima, check into your guesthouse, and join the group for an orientation and dinner.

- Day 2
Khonoma - Dzuleke
Start your day with a reflective visit to the World War II Cemetery, then make your way to Khonoma, which is India's first green village. You'll walk through stone pathways and terraced farms to see how the community has maintained sustainability. Later on, continue to Dzuleke, a remote forest village where you'll stay with a host family and try traditional Naga cuisine prepared by locals.

Dzukou Valley Hike
Get up early for a trek into Dzukou Valley, one of Nagaland's less-known spots. The trail winds through forests and ridges leading into vast alpine meadows, and depending on what season you're visiting, you might see wildflowers, herbs, and grasses along the way. You'll stop for a peaceful picnic in the natural surroundings before heading back.

Ungma

Assam

Majuli

Visit Salmora village where artisans shape clay using time-honored techniques. You can wander through rice paddies on foot or by bike, have a quiet lunch with your host family, and finish with a traditional Assamese dinner.

Check into a forest-lined eco-lodge and get ready for your safari.

Kaziranga National Park Safari
Wake before dawn for a jeep safari in Kaziranga, home of the famous one-horned rhino. You'll traverse lush floodplains spotting elephants, swamp deer, wild buffalo, and if you're lucky, elusive tigers. After lunch, you'll head back out for a second safari. Return to the lodge for a hearty meal and spend the evening storytelling under the starry sky.

Learn about rituals and folklore before ending the day in Sonapur.
