The 12-day tour was a perfect trip to enjoy Northeast India. Ancient temples and lush greenery was wonderful. Cherrapunji living root bridges are something I’ll never forget. Kaziranga National Park’s wildlife was an amazing experience to seeing rhinos in their natural habitat. The hotels were comfortable. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the driver was always punctual. A well organized trip!

We waited for this trip for a long time. Actually we reserved this trip before pandemic and we were suppose to arrive 21st March 2020.But unfortunately we could not come and we were worried about our deposit.Hemender was ready to return our deposit but agreed on a mutual agreement to hold this tour in the future. It almost took 3 years to come and explore the wildlife of North East India.During the 3 Years, Hemender was in regular touch and keep remining that your deposit is safe as well as your Tour is on hold. After the tour, I was amazed to see tigers,wild dogs and other wild animals.I am really happy after this tour and certainly I would recommend about Hemender and his company.

We traveled as a couple on this incredible 15-day trip through the tribal regions and lush green landscapes of North East India, and it honestly exceeded all our expectations. We decided to modify the itinerary to spend more time in the tribal villages — and that turned out to be the most rewarding part of our journey. It gave us the chance to slow down, interact with the locals, and experience their traditions, lifestyle, and warm hospitality in a truly personal way. As foreign travelers, we needed a special permit to visit the tribal areas, which was efficiently arranged by the Agora Voyages team. Our accompanied guide, a member of the Naga tribal community, was knowledgeable, fluent in English, and made the cultural interactions deeply meaningful. The driver was patient, friendly, and always punctual, ensuring that every long drive felt comfortable and safe. We knew the region doesn’t offer many 4 or 5-star hotels, but that only added to the charm. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and well-selected, with a few nice 3-star hotels in certain towns. The local homestays were the real highlight — the hosts welcomed us like family, served freshly cooked homemade meals, and shared beautiful stories about their land and lives. The scenery throughout was simply stunning — mist-covered hills, dense bamboo forests, emerald valleys, and remote villages that seemed untouched by time. Every day offered something new and genuine, far from the typical tourist trail. We left North East India with full hearts and unforgettable memories. It was more than just a trip — it was a heartfelt connection with nature and people. We would highly recommend this journey to anyone who values authenticity, culture, and human warmth.

Is Northeast India Right for Your Solo or Senior Travel Plans?
Heading to Northeast India on your own or as a mature traveler? You'll find it's generally safe but there are some things to think about. The roads can be pretty challenging so you might want to get a driver especially for longer trips. One thing to watch out for - ATMs that take foreign cards are kind of scarce so make sure you've got enough Indian rupees with you. We've had TourRadar guests mention their non-Indian credit cards weren't always accepted outside the big cities. If you're wondering about the best way to go a small group tour could make things easier - we've seen this work well on our India + Sri Lanka Experience tours. When Should You Plan Your Northeast India Adventure?
October through April that's really your sweet spot for exploring Northeast India. If you're keen on wildlife watching at Kaziranga National Park these months are perfect. But here's something interesting - if you're heading to Meghalaya during monsoon season June to September you'll catch the waterfalls at their spectacular best.
