Itinerary
- Day 1
Mexico City
You'll land in Mexico City with the day ahead to get oriented before the welcome meeting at 6 pm. If your flight arrives early, the Zocalo is worth checking out to see the Aztec ruins and colonial buildings, or you could spend time relaxing in one of the parks. Once the meeting wraps up, head out into the streets to try some local food and look around for Day of the Dead decorations that'll be up around the city.

- Day 2
Tlalocan
The morning is yours to do what you want in Mexico City, then at 1 pm you'll travel to Tlalocan to meet your local host. You'll get to build your own traditional Day of the Dead altar with hands-on help. Later in the afternoon, walk through Panteon cemetery where graves are decorated with bright flowers, photos, and food offerings. You'll see people there taking part in ceremonies to remember those who've passed away.

- Day 3
Mexico City
A walking tour takes you through Mexico City's historic center, stopping by the Zocalo, Metropolitan Cathedral, Templo Mayor, and Palacio de Bellas Artes. You'll visit the open-air Mercado San Juan where vendors have Day of the Dead supplies like pan de muerto bread and other items. There's time to browse and grab lunch with festival foods if you're interested. After that, the afternoon is open for you to explore on your own.

- Day 4
Teotihuacan
An early start takes you from Mexico City to Teotihuacan to explore the ancient ruins with a local guide. You'll climb the Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon, then walk down The Avenue of the Dead while learning about the city's history from nearly 2000 years ago. By late afternoon you're back in Mexico City, and there's an optional group dinner if you want to join in.

After breakfast, your Day of the Dead festival tour comes to an end. If you'd like to stay longer in Mexico City, extra accommodation can be arranged depending on what's available.
