- Day 1
Kochi
You'll arrive at Cochin International Airport where your Alkof Holidays representative meets you for the transfer to your hotel. After checking in and getting settled, the afternoon is yours to explore Kochi's main attractions. Head to Fort Kochi to walk through the historic streets, then see St. Francis Church where Vasco da Gama was first buried. The Dutch Palace shows off the region's colonial past with its intricate murals and traditional architecture. Stop by Santa Cruz Basilica before strolling Marine Drive along the waterfront. If time allows, catch the sunset from Bolgatty Island or visit the Indo-Portuguese Museum to dig deeper into the city's layered history.

Kochi to Munnar
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll head out early and drive through the green Kerala landscape toward Munnar. The journey takes you through tea plantations and winding roads in the Western Ghats, so it's worth taking in the views along the way. Once you arrive at the hill station, check into your hotel and settle in. The rest of the day is open for relaxing and adjusting to the cooler mountain air, or you can take an easy walk around the hotel grounds to get oriented.

Munnar
Start your morning by heading to Eravikulam National Park where you might spot the rare Nilgiri Tahr on the hillsides. From there, drive to Mattupetty Dam for a quiet boat ride across the water with views of the surrounding peaks. Make a stop at Echo Point where you'll get sweeping views across Munnar's rolling hills and valleys. Later, head up to Top Station as the day winds down so you can watch the sunset paint the landscape in warm colors before heading back to your hotel for the evening.

Munnar to Thekkady
You'll drive to Thekkady, one of Kerala's top wildlife areas, and check into your resort. In the afternoon, visit a nearby spice plantation where you can see how pepper, cardamom, and cinnamon are grown and harvested. It's a chance to learn about the region's agricultural heritage and maybe pick up some fresh spices. Later, head to Mullaperiyar Dam where the views across the water and surrounding terrain are worth the trip. Return to your resort in the evening and have time to relax before dinner.

Thekkady
Wake up early for a boat ride on Periyar Lake where you'll look for wildlife like elephants, deer, and bison along the shorelines. The morning on the water is usually best for spotting animals. After returning, spend time exploring Periyar Tiger Reserve and walking through the thick evergreen forests. The afternoon and evening open up for you to choose how to spend the time. You can arrange an optional elephant ride if that interests you, or take in a cultural show back at the resort before dinner.

- Day 6
Thekkady to Alleppey
After breakfast, you'll drive to Alleppey and board your deluxe houseboat around 1:00 PM. From there, the real experience begins as you cruise through canals, lagoons, and past traditional villages at a slow pace. Lunch is served fresh onboard while you pass paddy fields and coconut groves, and you can eat on deck if the weather's nice. As evening comes on, relax and watch the water and shorelines from the deck. After dinner, you'll spend the night on the houseboat, which is an experience in itself with the gentle movement and sounds of the backwaters.

- Day 7
Alleppey to Kochi
Eat breakfast on the houseboat, then check out and head back toward Kochi by car. Your driver will take you to Kochi Airport or the railway station depending on your onward travel plans. This marks the end of your Kerala trip, and you'll leave with memories of everything from the colonial architecture of Kochi to the wildlife and water of the backwaters.
