Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cochin
You'll arrive in Cochin where a representative meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of your day is yours to settle in and rest up for the trip ahead. You'll spend the night in Cochin.
- Day 2
Cochin to Munnar
Your half-day city tour kicks off at 9:00 AM, taking you through St. Francis' Church, Dutch Palace, Jew Town, and the Jewish Synagogue. You'll also walk through the spice market and see the Chinese fishing nets up close. After lunch, you'll drive about 150 km to Munnar (roughly 4 hours) through mountain scenery with waterfalls and clouds rolling by. Once you arrive, you'll check in to your hotel for the night.

Munnar
After breakfast, you'll take a half-day tour around Munnar to see the high-altitude tea estates and head into Eravikulam National Park where you can spot Nilgiri Tahr mountain goats. The afternoon and evening are yours to wander around on your own and see what else the area has to offer.

Munnar to Periyar
You'll travel to Periyar Wildlife Reserve, one of South India's top wildlife sanctuaries located right on an attractive lake. The reserve is home to tigers, leopards, elephants, bison, antelopes, and various bird species if you're fortunate to see them. You'll spend the night at Periyar.

Periyar to Kumarakom
Start your morning with a spice plantation tour and a boat ride on Periyar Lake. Later you'll drive to Kottayam and check into your hotel in Kumarakom, a well-known backwater destination with coconut groves, mangrove forests, and houseboat options.

Kumarakom Backwaters
You'll visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary after breakfast to see birds depending on what season it is. Then you'll head to the jetty and board a traditional houseboat (Kettuvallam) for a cruise across Vembanad Lake and through the backwaters, where you can watch village life along the shoreline. You'll sleep on the houseboat that night.
