Itinerary
- Day 1
Venice
You'll arrive and get transferred by boat to your hotel in Venice. Once you're settled in, the day is open for you to walk around at your own pace. The winding streets lead you past the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Square, the Bridge of Sighs, and Doge's Palace. Since everything here is connected by canals rather than roads, walking is really the only way to navigate the city anyway.

- Day 2
Venice
After breakfast, you'll head out on the water bus with your 24-hour pass to visit Murano, Burano, and Torcello. Each island has its own character and history. Murano's known for glassblowing, Burano for its colorful houses and lace-making traditions, and Torcello for quieter, older charm. Spend the day hopping between them and seeing what each has to offer.

Venice to Florence
Morning train departure from Venice to Florence takes about 2 hours and leaves between 9 am and 12 pm. Once you arrive and check into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to explore. You can wander Florence's old streets, and if you have the energy, climb up to San Miniato al Monte church for views back over the city.

- Day 4
Siena - Pisa
Train to Siena puts you in a medieval city where the main draw is Piazza del Campo with its distinctive shell-shaped plaza, plus the Cathedral with its detailed marble work. After checking out Siena's narrow streets, you'll catch another train to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower and the Cathedral there. Then it's back to Florence by evening train, so this is a full day of traveling between cities.

Florence to Rome
Train from Florence to Rome departs between 9 am and 12 pm and takes roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes. After settling into your Roman hotel, head over to Vatican City for a self-guided walk through St. Peter's Basilica and the square. If interested, you can buy tickets on-site for the Vatican Museum and see the Sistine Chapel, though that's optional and requires separate admission.

Rome
Your skip-the-line ticket gets you into the Colosseum, the massive amphitheater built between 72 and 80 AD. Stand in the arena and think about the scale of what happened there historically. Your ticket also covers the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, and it's valid for 24 hours, so you can move between these sites whenever you want throughout the day.
