- Day 1
Hobart
You'll arrive in Hobart and start by heading up Mt. Nelson for views across the city and surrounding area. From there, walk through Salamanca Place where you can check out the markets, galleries, and restaurants scattered throughout the heritage buildings. Later, stroll around Constitution Dock to see where the Sydney to Hobart yachts come in. Before your Welcome Dinner with your Travel Director, you'll spend some time in the historic Botanical Gardens.

Hobart to Strahan
Early in the day you'll head west into Tasmania's wilderness toward Mount Field National Park. Here you'll see some of the tallest eucalypts around and walk to Russell Falls to experience the waterfalls in person. After that, you'll continue on to Lake St. Clair, which is Australia's deepest freshwater lake. By evening you'll arrive in Strahan, which sits at the gateway to the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.

Strahan
Your morning involves a cruise through Gordon River and Macquarie Harbour, navigating the narrow and challenging Hells Gates. You'll stop at Heritage Landing where 500-year-old Huon pines are visible along the banks. Then you head to Sarah Island where you'll watch 'The Ship That Never Was', a live theatre performance about the Great Escape from this former penal colony. The performers bring the historical events to life right before your eyes.

Strahan to North-West Coast
You'll spend the day at Cradle Mountain, which sits at 1,545 metres, and explore the wilderness around Dove Lake with its dramatic alpine moorlands as a backdrop. During a Day Keeper tour at Devils @ Cradle, you'll learn how the sanctuary operates and what conservation work happens there. Your entry fee goes directly to the Save the Devil Foundation. Later you'll head toward the north-west coast for your overnight stop.

North-West Coast
Starting at Table Cape, a 180-metre high lookout, you'll take in views that stretch over 175 kilometres on a clear day. You'll then head through the town of Penguin to see its penguin sculptures, and pass through Ulverstone on your way to Sheffield. Sheffield is known as The Town of Murals because it has over 100 large paintings covering buildings throughout town. After that, you'll stop at Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm to taste their award-winning cheeses and try locally made ice cream.

Launceston
You'll travel to Launceston, Tasmania's historic port city where bushland and nature sit just minutes away from the downtown area. Cataract Gorge is a natural phenomenon that combines bushland with Victorian gardens in an unusual way. You can choose to take a scenic chairlift for views from above, board a river cruise to see the cliff faces from the water, or simply walk around this historic port city at your own pace during the afternoon.
