Itinerary
- Day 1
La Paz
You'll arrive at La Paz airport and get transferred to your hotel in the city center. The first day is mainly about letting your body adjust to the high altitude of 3,600 meters (11,800 feet). In the evening, you'll head to the Cholitas Wrestling Show where local women in traditional dress perform an entertaining blend of actual wrestling and theatrical performance.

La Paz
This morning starts with a guided walking tour through La Paz's colonial center and older neighborhoods. From there, you'll check out the Witches' Market with its colorful stands selling amulets, herbs, and local goods. Later in the day, you'll ride the Mi Teleférico cable car system to take in views of the city and the snowcapped Illimani mountain rising above everything.

La Paz
You have the full day to explore La Paz on your own schedule. If you're looking for adventure, the Death Road cycling route is available as an optional excursion. Otherwise, you could walk through the surreal rock formations at Valley of the Souls or head to Tiwanaku to see the ancient UNESCO-listed ruins. The choice is yours based on what interests you most.

La Paz to Uyuni
After transferring to El Alto Airport, you'll fly to Uyuni and head straight into the Altiplano. First stop is Colchani village where salt is still harvested the traditional way. Then you'll spend time exploring the Uyuni Salt Flats, and you can climb Incahuasi (also called Fish Island) for panoramic views across the white desert. The day wraps up with a sunset before heading back to your accommodation.

Uyuni
Start early at the Train Cemetery to see the old rusting locomotives left from Uyuni's mining days. You'll then head into the southern Altiplano, passing through San Cristóbal mining village and exploring the Alota Valley and Stone Valley with its wind-carved rock formations. Before arriving in Villamar for the night, you'll stop at Katal Lagoon to look for Andean wildlife.

Villamar to Uyuni
Following an early breakfast, you'll drive deep into the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Reserve. The day includes seeing the Sol de Mañana geysers and steaming geothermal features, soaking in the hot springs at Polques, and reaching Laguna Colorada at 4,300 meters (14,100 feet) where thousands of flamingos gather. You'll head back to Uyuni in the late afternoon.
