Itinerary
- Day 1
Launceston
You'll arrive in Launceston, Tasmania's second-largest city located in the Tamar Valley. If your flight gets in early, there's time to explore on your own before the group meets up. Consider taking a boat cruise into wine country, checking out Cataract Gorge, or walking along the cliffs where bushland transitions into Victorian gardens. There's an optional chairlift if you want a different perspective from above. Later, you'll meet your Travel Director and other travelers for a welcome drink to kick off the week.

Legerwood - Bicheno
Start the day at Bridestowe Estate where you can walk through lavender fields and try lavender-infused ice cream and honey from about half a million bees. After that, head to Legerwood to see the Carved Memorial Trees, which feature intricate sculptures honoring WWI soldiers. By evening, you'll drive to Bicheno to watch little penguins come ashore at dusk, returning to their coastal nests for the night.

Wineglass Bay
You'll spend this day exploring Tasmania's east coast by boat around Freycinet Peninsula. The guided tour takes you past granite peaks and the pink cliffs of the Hazards range to reach Wineglass Bay. You'll have a Ploughman's lunch on board while taking in the secluded beaches and coastal landscape. This outing connects to local conservation efforts, so you're doing something meaningful while seeing some really beautiful scenery.

Richmond - Iron Creek Bay Estate
Begin early at the Derwent River where local palawa community members welcome you and share traditional knowledge through a bush tucker experience. Then head to Richmond, home to Australia's oldest convict-built prison and a historic bridge that's worth seeing. You can browse boutique shops and grab a famous scallop pie for lunch. Next, drive to Iron Creek Bay Estate, a 70-hectare farm property where you'll tour the grounds, pick fresh fruit, and meet farm animals. Dinner is served at the estate's restaurant with locally sourced ingredients.

Port Arthur
Spend the day at Port Arthur Historic Site, a World Heritage location surrounded by rolling fields and coastal views. An expert guide will lead you through the site's history as part of a conservation-focused experience. You'll take a cruise to the Isle of the Dead, visit Pirate's Bay Lookout for views of the rugged sea cliffs, and see geological features like Tasman's Arch, Devil's Kitchen, and the Blowhole. The evening is free to explore Hobart at your leisure.

Hobart
This day is yours to spend however you'd like in Hobart. The waterfront is peaceful, the streets have galleries and shops, and there's a mountain backdrop. If you want to get out on the water, consider a Bruny Island cruise to see fur seals and sea cliffs, or book a scenic flight over the southwest region. A guided walking tour through historic streets is another option, or visit the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery. Later, gather with the group for a celebratory dinner at a waterfront restaurant.
