You'll land in Rome and have the day free to explore at your own pace since arrival times vary. Later in the evening, join other travelers for a welcome dinner that kicks off your Italian journey together.

Rome
Start exploring Rome with a guided tour focusing on Renaissance and Baroque sites. The afternoon is yours to walk around neighborhoods like Monti on your own.

Rome to Sorrento
Head toward the Sorrentine Peninsula with a stop at a local winery to taste Lacryma Christi wine and have a traditional lunch. Afterward, you can either join a guided tour of Pompeii's main ruins or explore on your own to find quieter corners. By evening you'll check in to your Sorrento hotel for five nights, positioned above town with views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius.

You'll tour the vegetable garden and take part in a hands-on cooking class using family recipes, then eat the lunch you helped prepare. Back in Sorrento later, you have free time to walk narrow streets, check out local shops, or grab lemon gelato.

Explore Amalfi on your own, then head up to nearby Ravello to walk through Villa Rufolo's gardens and take in coastline views. You'll return to Sorrento with the evening free.

You have a free day in Sorrento to soak up its relaxed atmosphere. There's an optional ferry trip to Capri if you want it, where you'll cruise past steep cliffs, caves, and the Faraglioni rocks before spending time in Capri town exploring the piazzetta, boutiques, and outdoor cafes. Return to Sorrento for another evening at leisure.

After an afternoon free, gather with fellow travelers for a farewell dinner marking the end of your trip.
