Darwin
You'll arrive in Darwin and spend the day getting to know Australia's Northern Territory capital at your own pace. The local characters here are as colorful as the sunsets you'll see. In the evening, you'll have dinner and drinks with your driver guide and the rest of the group.

- Day 2
Darwin
A city tour takes you through Darwin's history, covering everything from wars to natural disasters. You'll see the East Point Military Reserve and check out the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. The afternoon is free, so you can either head to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Facility or catch the Mindil Beach Sunset Market with over 200 stalls if you're interested.

Adelaide River to Kakadu National Park
This morning you'll do a tour focused on Aboriginal culture with Pudakul, a family business that's 100 percent Aboriginal owned and operated. They'll show you cultural and nature experiences from the Adelaide River Flood Plains on Aboriginal land called Limilngan-Wulna, including art, music, and bush tucker. After that, you're heading into Kakadu, a UNESCO World Heritage national park and one of Australia's most important living ecosystems.

- Day 4
Kakadu National Park
Early on, you'll take a morning flight over Kakadu to see just how massive it is, covering almost 20,000 square kilometres. Then you'll explore the park on the ground, looking at ancient Aboriginal rock art and cruising through Yellow Water Billabong. Your local guide will help you spot the saltwater crocodiles that live there.

Nitmiluk National Park
You'll travel to Nitmiluk National Park, where escarpments carved out over millions of years create dramatic scenery. A cruise through Nitmiluk, also called Katherine Gorge, lets you learn about the ancient story of the cicada and how the Jawoyn people connect spiritually to this land.

Mataranka to Tennant Creek
The day starts at Elsey Homestead, which was featured in the 1982 film 'We of the Never Never'. You'll soak in the natural hot springs at Mataranka thermal pools surrounded by palm trees. After that, you're heading to the Daly Waters Pub, known as Australia's 'original outback pub' where people traditionally leave their mark on the walls. By evening, you'll arrive in Tennant Creek with a better sense of outback life.

Karlu Karlu to Alice Springs
You'll drive along the Stuart Highway, a long straight road stretching 2,700 kilometres. Karlu Karlu, also known as Devils Marbles, appears on the horizon, a sacred site of granite boulders tied to Aboriginal ceremonies and storytelling. You'll continue to Alice Springs and climb Anzac Hill for views of the East and West MacDonnell Ranges.

Alice Springs
After a relaxed hotel breakfast, you'll head out to see the Alice Springs School of the Air, which provides education to kids in remote areas. Next is the Alice Springs Telegraph Station, a historical site where the town began as a communication hub. Later you'll grab lunch and then check out Standley Chasm in the West MacDonnell Ranges to see the red rock walls, followed by Simpsons Gap, a quiet wildlife area.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
You're traveling from Alice Springs to Uluru through landscapes that reflect Aboriginal culture and spirituality. Once there, a guide will take you around the base of Uluru and tell you about the ancient creation stories and what this massive monolith means. At sunset, you'll have sparkling wine and light refreshments while watching Uluru change colors. If you want, there's an optional barbecue dinner under the stars available.

Uluru
This is your day to set your own schedule. The resort pool is there if you want to spend time relaxing, or you can join in on some free activities happening throughout the day like guided walks through the gardens, bush food demonstrations, or didgeridoo sessions. If art interests you, the Gallery of Central Australia has Indigenous works on display and it's worth checking out. There's also the option to book a scenic flight over Uluru if you want that experience, though it does cost extra. Later in the evening you'll have dinner with the group, which is a good chance to swap stories and photos from the tour so far.
