Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo to Habarana
You'll touch down at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo where your tour leader will meet you. From there, head to Habarana by way of the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a chance to see rescued elephants up close. Once you check into your hotel, the rest of the afternoon is yours to rest up after traveling. Breakfast and lunch are on your own, so grab what you like along the way.

Habarana
After breakfast, make your way to Sigiriya to climb the Rock Fortress and take in the ancient frescoes from the 8th century. The site sits about 660 feet above the surrounding plains, so the views are quite something. Next, drive to Dambulla to visit the Golden Temple, a World Heritage Site with five cave temples carved into the rock. Then return to Habarana for the night. You'll sort out lunch on your own during the day.

- Day 3
Habarana to Kandy
Starting with breakfast, you'll travel toward Kandy while stopping at the Matale Spice Garden to learn about Sri Lanka's famous spice production firsthand. Once in Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth, the holiest Buddhist shrine in the country. Take time to walk around the sacred grounds and see the temple's architecture. Later, check into your hotel in Kandy. Lunch happens on your own schedule before settling in.

- Day 4
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, head toward Nuwara Eliya with a stop at Ramboda Falls, where you can see the water cascade down and watch butterfly swarms in the area. The Hanuman Temple nearby features an impressive 16-foot statue if you want to check it out. Continue on to reach Nuwara Eliya, where you'll tour a tea plantation and its factory to understand how Ceylon Tea is produced. The Seetha Temple is also worth seeing while you're there. Lunch is on your own.

- Day 5
Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Bentota
Following breakfast, travel toward Bentota with a stop in Ella to visit the Grand Ella Motel garden, which sits high enough that you feel like you're looking out over endless landscape. From there, continue down to the coastal town of Bentota and settle into your beachside hotel. You'll have the afternoon and evening ahead. Lunch is on your own as you make the journey.

- Day 6
Bentota to Hikkaduwa
After breakfast, drive to Galle to explore the Galle Fort, the largest occupied fort in Asia and surrounded by historic walls. Walk the ramparts and see the old colonial buildings inside. Then visit the Turtle Hatchery to see marine conservation efforts and learn about sea turtle protection. Later head back to Bentota for the rest of your day, with time to relax on the beach. Lunch is on your own.

Bentota
You've got three full days at your beachside resort in Bentota with no scheduled activities or vehicle. Spend the time however you'd like on the golden beaches and in the warm waters. Breakfast is provided each morning, but you'll arrange your own lunch and dinner. It's a chance to properly unwind and just be by the ocean.

- Day 10
Bentota to Colombo Airport
After breakfast, travel to Colombo for a final city tour before you depart. You'll see Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, and the National Museum, along with various historic sites around the city. There's time to visit shopping areas if you want to pick up last-minute items. Lunch and dinner are on your own before heading to the airport. Make sure you arrive at least 3 hours before your flight departs.
