Venice
Meet your tour director at 4:00 PM for the welcome reception and orientation walk through Venice. You'll get a welcome drink and have dinner with the group, so it's a good chance to meet your fellow travelers and start getting oriented to the city layout.

- Day 2
Murano - Venice
Take a scenic cruise around the Venetian Lagoon heading out to Murano Island, where you'll tour a glass factory and watch artisans do glass blowing demonstrations. After cruising back to Venice, you'll do a walking tour of Piazza San Marco and visit the Doge's Palace. The rest of the day is free for you to wander around and find dinner on your own.

Your tour director leads an orientation walk, after which you can explore on your own before dinner with the group.

Florence

Florence to Rome
Travel to Rome, stopping in the hill town of Orvieto along the way to taste the local wine. Once in Rome, you'll tour the Colosseum built between 72 and 80 AD, which held up to 80,000 people for gladiator battles and performances. After exploring the Forum ruins, you have the evening free.
