Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok to Phitsanulok
You'll start early with a 6:45 am pickup to kick off your Thai adventure. The morning takes you to the Summer Palace of Rama V in Bang Pa-In, followed by time wandering through ancient temples in Ayutthaya like Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, Wat Mahathat, and Wat Phanan Choeng. After lunch in Chai Nat, you'll head to Phitsanulok for a quick city walk and check into your hotel by evening.

- Day 2
Phitsanulok to Lampang
Following breakfast, you'll join locals during morning prayers at Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat. Then it's off to Sukhothai where you can wander through the UNESCO-listed historical park, checking out ruined temples, old palaces, and Buddha statues. The day continues to Si Satchanalai to see about six temple ruins and cross a wooden suspension bridge before settling into Lampang for the night.

- Day 3
Lampang to Chiang Rai
After breakfast you'll check out Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, then head north with a coffee stop at Phayao Lake. You'll see the all-white Wat Rong Khun temple with its mirrored details, grab lunch in Chiang Rai, and then reach the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. A boat trip gets you around the area and over to Don Sao Island (Laotian territory), followed by a visit to the 212 House of Opium museum.

- Day 4
Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai
The day starts at the fragrant Chiang Rai morning market, then moves to Wat Phra Kaew temple. You'll learn about local hill tribe cultures at the Hill Tribe Museum and Education Centre before traveling to Chiang Mai. There you'll visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a highly revered temple sitting atop a mountain with views across the city. You can either climb 309 steps or take a cable car to get up there.

- Day 5
Chiang Mai
After breakfast you're heading to Elephant Poopoopaper Park (or Elephant Jungle Sanctuary starting in November) to learn about and try papermaking from elephant dung. Next comes Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden where you'll see over 200 banana varieties, walk through a Tropical Rainforest house, try the glass canopy walkway, and visit the Orchid House. Before wrapping up, you'll stop at Baan Tipmanee to watch traditional woodcarving, and there's an optional khan toke dinner available in the evening.

Chiang Mai
You'll have a relaxed breakfast at your hotel and the rest of the day to explore Chiang Mai on your own terms. Wander around this green city known as the Rose of the North and check out whatever interests you most. A transfer to Chiang Mai Airport is arranged when you're ready to leave.
