Keflavik to Reykjavik
You'll land at Keflavik and catch the Flybus shuttle into Reykjavik, heading straight to your hotel. If there's daylight left, wander around the capital on your own and get a feel for the city.

- Day 2
Reykjavik to Westfjords
Meeting your guide early, you'll head west to Grábróк, a volcanic crater that's about 3,400 years old. After grabbing lunch in Búðardalur, you'll drive along the fjords of Ísafjörður and stop at Litlibær turf house, which is now a museum and café. You'll arrive in Ísafjörður for three nights, then head out for Northern Lights hunting in the evening.

Westfjords
Starting the day at Dynjandi waterfall with its tiered drops, then you'll head to the scenic pier at Óundarfjörður for mountain views. After a nature walk and meal, you'll check out Ísafjörður's colorful houses and cobblestone streets. Evening brings another Northern Lights search.

Westfjords
You'll visit Ósvor Maritime Museum, seeing a restored fishing hut with 19th-century rowboat history. Then you'll go to Flateyri village and The Old Bookstore, operating since 1914 with traditional Icelandic design. You'll learn about the 1995 avalanche and see the protective barriers built after. Another evening Northern Lights hunt follows.

Westfjords to West Iceland
Traveling to Hólmavík, you'll explore the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft with ancient grimoires and ritual objects. From there, you'll head to Vogur Country Lodge in West Iceland for the night, positioned well for Northern Lights viewing.

West Iceland to North Iceland
You'll continue on the Ring Road toward North Iceland, stopping at Glaumbaer to see one of Iceland's most well-known turf house farms and folk museums. The drive takes you through fjord landscapes and mountain passes before reaching Akureyri, the north's main city.

Akureyri to Mývatn
Exploring Akureyri gives you views over Eyjafjörður fjord, and you can book optional whale watching at 09:00 if interested. Later, you'll visit Goðafoss waterfall and then check out Lake Mývatn's geological features including lava formations and pseudo craters. The day finishes with a soak in Mývatn Nature Baths, with time to watch for Northern Lights.

Mývatn to East Iceland
You'll walk through the dramatic lava formations of Dimmuborgir, where local legends mention trolls. Then you'll explore Námaskarð with its bubbling mud pools and steaming geothermal areas. The journey continues through the highland terrain toward East Iceland.

East Iceland to Southeast Iceland
Driving through the East Fjords, you'll pass fishing villages and stop at a stone and mineral collection. You'll see Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier, and reach Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon with floating icebergs and seals. From May through September, there's a boat tour among the icebergs available. Before leaving, you'll walk across Diamond Beach with its black sand.

Southeast Iceland to South Coast
Exploring Vatnajökull National Park takes you past Europe's second-largest glacier and Iceland's highest mountains. You'll drive the South Coast across the Eldhraun lava field and see the Icelandic Lava Show with molten lava flowing. Then you'll visit Reynisfjara black lava beach, Skógafoss waterfall, and Seljalandsfoss where you can walk behind the water. Northern Lights watching continues.

South Coast to Reykjavik
Starting the Golden Circle route at Friðheimar, you'll learn about Icelandic horses and visit a geothermal greenhouse. Moving on to Geysir geothermal fields, you'll see hot springs and watch Strokkur erupt every 5 to 7 minutes. Gullfoss waterfall comes next with its 32-meter double cascade. You'll then visit Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO site, before returning to Reykjavik for a city tour.
