Departure to Taipei
You'll fly overnight and arrive in Taipei with the rest of your day open for wandering around the city on your own. Later this evening, you'll meet your National Escort and the other travelers for dinner at a local restaurant.

Taipei
Start at the National Palace Museum to see one of the world's finest Chinese imperial art collections. From there, head to Longshan Temple with its intricate carvings and incense-filled atmosphere, then check out Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Make your way up Taipei 101's 89th floor for views across the city. Later in the evening, you'll walk through a buzzing night market to try Taipei's famous street food.

Pingxi - Jiufen - Taipei
Follow the scenic Pingxi Line through lush mountains and former mining towns. You'll explore charming spots like Pingxi and Shifen Old Streets, and see Shifen Waterfall. Try releasing a traditional sky lantern, then head to Jiufen, a hillside town with narrow alleys, teahouses, and coastal views. You'll get back to Taipei in the evening.

Travel to Sun Moon Lake, one of Taiwan's most scenic natural spots. Stop at a tea plantation in the surrounding hills for a tasting session, then visit Wenwu Temple overlooking the lake. Board a leisurely cruise to take in panoramic views of jade-green waters, forested slopes, and distant mountain peaks.

Alishan
Head to Bantaoyao Craft Park to try mosaic-making and design your own decorative tile at this revitalized pottery factory. Later, travel into the misty hills of Alishan to visit Yuyupas Cultural Park, where you'll learn about Tsou tribe traditions and sample rich, aromatic coffee grown and handpicked in the surrounding mountain farms.

Board the Alishan Forest Train early this morning for the ride up to Zhushan Sunrise Platform to catch the sunrise over the mountains if weather permits. Chiayi - Taipei
Start the day in the mountain village of Fenqihu, walking its narrow lanes lined with wooden shopfronts and trying the town's signature bento box lunch. Later, travel to Chiayi and hop aboard the high-speed train back to Taipei for the fast journey reaching up to 300km per hour. After you arrive, return to your hotel and enjoy a farewell dinner.
