    Santiago

    If you're arriving on day two, you'll have time to rest and get comfortable at your accommodation without rushing into activities.

    Valparaíso - Casablanca Valley

    A 3 hour drive takes you to Valparaiso, a colorful port town where you can walk through its vibrant streets. You'll stop at Pablo Neruda's house, then head inland to Casablanca Valley. The afternoon includes a tour at Casas del Bosque Winery with wine tastings and gourmet lunch overlooking the vineyards before heading back to Santiago.

    Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama

    You'll fly to Calama in northern Chile and then drive to San Pedro de Atacama, a desert oasis. In the afternoon, you'll see Death and Moon valleys where the rock colors shift from orange to red to purple as the sun moves across the sky.

    Salar de Atacama

    The day takes you to the Salar de Atacama, Chile's largest salt flat. You'll visit the scenic Chaxa, Miscanti, and Miniques lagoons, then drive to Socaire village to see ancient agricultural terraces and irrigation channels. Colonial architecture at Liparita rounds out the day before you return to your hotel.

    El Tatio - Rainbow Valley

    You'll wake early for El Tatio Geysers at sunrise, watching them hiss and spit while guides point out Putama Volcano and the Tocopuri Mountains as you travel through the Andes. The desert village of Machuca shows how locals live, an archaeological site nearby, and then Rainbow Valley's colorful formations close the day.

    After transferring to Calama, you'll fly to Puerto Montt via Santiago, about 5 hours total. From there you'll drive to Puerto Varas on Llanquihue Lake, surrounded by two snow-capped volcanoes. The evening is relaxed after checking into your hotel.

    Volcán Osorno - Perez Rosales National Park

    You'll travel around Llanquihue Lake to Ensenada for an easy hike through Volcan Osorno's nature preserve, reaching the visitors center at 1,240 meters. Later, Perez Rosales National Park has Pehoe Falls where boardwalks let you see the turquoise river and surrounding greenery up close.

    A flight south takes you to Punta Arenas at the tip of continental South America on the Straits of Magellan. From there you'll continue to Puerto Natales, which serves as your gateway to Torres del Paine.

    Última Esperanza Fjord - Serrano Glacier

    You'll sail on Ultima Esperanza Fjord to Mount Balmaceda Glacier and then hike to the Serrano Glacier. The walk takes you through native forest while you spot cormorants and sea lions, ending at the foot of this massive glacier that's part of the Southern Ice Field.

You'll see Lake Pehoe, Lake Grey, and Grey Glacier, then after lunch stop at Milodon Cave where prehistoric remains were discovered.
