Itinerary
- Day 1
Venice
You'll get picked up when you arrive and head to your hotel to settle in. How you spend the early part of the day depends on your flight time, so you might rest or take a quick walk around if you land early. Come afternoon, a private motorboat takes you through the Grand Canal with your guide, passing by Redentore and San Giorgio Maggiore as you cruise along the Giudecca Canal.

- Day 2
Murano - Burano - Venice
After breakfast you're heading out on a lagoon boat tour with your guide, passing Lido, Certosa, Vignole, and Sant'Erasmo. Stop in Murano to watch glassblowing at a local studio, then walk about 15 minutes to the Cathedral of Saints Maria e Donato to see its mosaics and Romanesque design. You'll sail roughly 30 minutes to Burano and visit a lace workshop plus wander the colorful streets. The boat back to Venice includes wine, leaving the rest of your afternoon open.

Venice to Florence
Take the high-speed train to Florence this morning, getting there in about two hours. After checking in at your hotel, you'll hop on a 24-hour hop on hop off bus to explore Renaissance Florence at your own pace, stopping at museums and monuments whenever it suits you.

Florence
This day is yours to spend however you like in Florence. If structured plans appeal to you more, there's an optional Tuscan excursion that takes you through Pisa, San Gimignano, and Siena with a guide, plus a Chianti wine tour, lunch, and wine tasting to see those medieval towns.

Florence

Pompeii - Naples
Board the high-speed train to Naples this morning and settle into your hotel. Then you're off to Pompeii for a guided archaeological tour where your guide shows you the thermal baths, Basilica, frescoes in the Lupanare, the Macellum with its workshops, and the House of the Faun, all preserved from Vesuvius's 79 AD eruption.

Naples to Capri and back
You'll transfer to the harbour and boat out to Capri, known for its turquoise waters and Mediterranean character. In Anacapri you can visit Villa San Michele or ride the chairlift up Mount Solaro for views across the island. After lunch on your own, head to Capri's main town to explore the Piazzetta, shop, and see Augustus Gardens, with free time for relaxation or optional boat tours before the hydrofoil takes you back to Naples.

Naples to Amalfi Coast and back
After breakfast you're driving the Amalfi Coast with an experienced driver, taking winding roads that hug the coast between sea and the Lattari Mountains. Stop at scenic spots to photograph Sorrento and Positano, then walk through Amalfi and Ravello. In Amalfi you can stroll the pedestrian street with shops and restaurants down to the beach and cathedral before heading back to Naples.

Rome
Rome is yours to explore today at whatever pace you like. Wander through neighbourhoods, check out local markets, or relax over a meal at a traditional restaurant or café. If you want a guide instead, there's an optional tour of the Colosseum and Vatican Museums that includes the Sistine Chapel.
