Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Amman
You'll get picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel in Amman. After you check in, the rest of the day is yours to wander around the city on your own terms. The official tour kicks off tomorrow, so this gives you a chance to get your bearings and shake off any travel fatigue.

- Day 2
Jerash and Amman
Head north to Jerash to see one of the finest Roman sites outside Italy, then return to Amman for a full day of exploring. You'll visit the Citadel, Temple of Hercules, Umayyad Palace, Byzantine Church, and the 6,000-seat Roman Theatre throughout the white city. Later grab street food in Downtown Amman, and if you're up for it, check out the Wild Jordan Centre in the evening or just head back to rest.

King's Highway to Petra
Travel south on the King's Highway toward Petra with several stops along the way. First, see the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in Madaba, famous for its 6th-century Byzantine mosaic map. After that, head up Mount Nebo for views overlooking the Jordan Valley, then continue through Wadi al-Mujib and visit Shobak Castle before arriving in Petra. You can book ahead for Petra by Candlelight or a cooking class at Petra Kitchen if interested, otherwise settle into your accommodation.

- Day 4
Petra and Wadi Rum
Spend your morning and early afternoon in Petra with a 2 to 3 hour guided tour through the Siq to the Treasury, then explore on your own. You'll have time to walk through tombs, check out the Roman amphitheatre, the colonnaded streets, the Monastery, and the High Place of Sacrifice. Afternoon brings a transfer to Wadi Rum, where you'll arrive at a Bedouin camp, have traditional dinner, and spend the night stargazing with telescope views of constellations and planets. Camel rides, hot air balloons, and quad biking are optional if you want more action.

- Day 5
Wadi Rum Desert Safari and Perseid Meteor Shower
Get up early for an extended Jeep Safari through Wadi Rum's desert, looking for the copper-colored rocky jebels from Lawrence of Arabia. You'll see sheer cliffs, weathered rock formations, and a natural arch before heading to a second Bedouin camp positioned for the best Perseid Meteor Shower viewing. That evening, lie back on foam pads to watch meteors, with tea, coffee, and light snacks provided.

Dead Sea
Leave Wadi Rum and drive north to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at about 400 meters below sea level. Check into your resort right on the shore and spend the afternoon and next morning floating in the mineral-rich water, trying mud treatments, or enjoying other spa options. If you're adventurous and it's between April and October, an optional trek through Wadi Mujib's water-filled canyons can be arranged nearby.

Departure from Dead Sea
Your last day is free at the Dead Sea before you head to the airport. If you want to squeeze in more, optional day trips include the Baptism site at Bethany, Ajloun Castle, Pella and Umm Qais, or the Desert Castles. The tour can also arrange a transfer to Tel Aviv or Cairo if you're extending your time in the region.
