    After you check in, you'll meet your Adventure Leader and the group in the late afternoon for a briefing covering the next 11 days and going over safety. Then it's time for a tuk-tuk tour through Bangkok's key sights, followed by a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers to get to know everyone.

  2. Day 2

    Bangkok

    Your first full day in Bangkok offers several options depending on what interests you. You could head to the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak and Maeklong, where a railway actually cuts right through the market. Or try a hop-on/hop-off sightseeing boat on the Chao Phraya River, or explore Bangkok's canals by traditional teak boat past riverside villages and temples. By evening, there's an optional group dinner and local night market visit.

    After checking out, you'll head toward Kanchanaburi with a stop at Erawan Waterfalls in the national park. Spend time hiking and swimming around the tropical waterfalls, then continue on to Kanchanaburi where you'll arrive in the evening with time to settle in and look around the area.

    Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai

    Start the morning at leisure in Kanchanaburi with optional activities like visiting a hot springs spa with 13 pools and fish spas on the Kwai river, or taking an e-scooter tour through countryside past rice fields and local farms. After lunch and checking out, you'll visit the historic ruins of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with free time for dinner before boarding an overnight train to Chiang Mai.

Transfer to your hotel in Chiang Mai happens in the early afternoon, giving you time to freshen up. Later, the evening is yours to relax or join an optional cooking class where you prepare your own dinner.

On the way, stop at lunchtime to explore Sambour Prei Kuk Temple, a 'temple of the forest' on the eastern bank of Tonle Sap Lake featuring Angkorian structures in tranquil grounds. Your provided picnic lunch is there. You'll arrive in Phnom Penh in the late afternoon, check in, then either relax, explore the streets, or join an optional group mini golf outing at Koh Pich for 18 holes with dinner from the in-house restaurant.

    Visit S21 (Toul Sleng) Prison this morning to learn about Cambodia's history during the Khmer Rouge, with the opportunity to meet a survivor. Around lunchtime, head to Factory Phnom Penh, a vibrant complex with artist studios, skateboard park, and the country's first trampoline park. Parents can optionally visit the Killing Fields while younger guests enjoy activities at Factory Phnom Penh with your Adventure Leader. End the day with a traditional wooden boat dinner cruise down the river featuring 360-degree views, BBQ dinner, traditional music, and an on-board bar.
