Departure to Norway
Your Norwegian adventure kicks off as you depart for Norway. You'll be heading toward mountains, glacial fjords, and Viking history across this remarkable region.
- Day 2
Bergen
You arrive in Bergen, Norway's second-largest city positioned right in the heart of the fjords. The afternoon is free to wander around and check out the city on your own. Later in the evening, you'll meet your travel group for a welcome dinner in the historic Bryggen neighborhood.

Bergen
Start with a guided walking tour through Bergen's Bryggen harborfront, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You'll walk past the colorful wooden buildings and take in the maritime history of the area. After the tour wraps up, the rest of your day is open to explore Bergen at your own pace.

Bergen to Nordfjord
This morning you head north, taking in the striking fjord scenery as you travel. You'll stop for lunch at a village along the way, then visit the open-air Nordfjord Folk Museum where you can see how Norwegians lived from the 1600s through today. You'll arrive at your hotel in time for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Geirangerfjord
You'll take a cruise through Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Geiranger. During the cruise you can see Norway's most powerful waterfalls, the Seven Sisters, the Bridal Veil, and the Suitor. There are also ancient homesteads visible on the steep mountainsides along the fjord.

Flåm Railway
Today brings some real thrills. You'll ride the Loen Skylift, one of the world's steepest cable cars, which gives you incredible views across the fjords. After that you head to the village of Flåm and ride the Flåm Railway, one of the steepest train routes in the world. The train climbs 3,000 feet past waterfalls, mountains, and valleys. You'll return to Flåm and stay there overnight.

Flåm to Oslo
You travel south toward Oslo today while Norway's landscapes continue to inspire your journey. Along the way you'll stop at the Borgund Stave Church, a medieval structure from 1180. After lunch, you'll continue on to Oslo, Norway's capital. The evening is yours to spend however you like.

Oslo
You start at the Fram Museum, which covers Norwegian polar exploration history. From there you walk down Karl Johan Street and pass the Royal Palace and City Hall as you check out downtown Oslo. You have free time this afternoon to relax or find hidden spots around the city. Tonight you'll have a farewell dinner with traditional Norwegian food in one of Oslo's oldest buildings.
