Itinerary
- Day 1
Reykjavik
Your flight lands at Keflavik International Airport, and from there it's about 45 minutes to your hotel in downtown Reykjavik. Once you settle in, you'll have time to walk around the city center if you're not too tired. Most of the main sights are within walking distance, so you can get a feel for Iceland's capital at your own pace.

Reykjavik to Kangerlussuaq
A charter flight takes you to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, where you'll board your expedition vessel. The expedition leader greets everyone and walks through safety procedures to prepare the group for the voyage ahead.

Sisimiut
You'll visit two towns on Greenland's west coast. Start with Maniitsoq, which sits surrounded by tall mountains, rivers, and glaciers. Later that day, head to Sisimiut to see colonial buildings from the 18th century, including Bethel Church. The highlight here is watching a traditional kayak-making demonstration, though mountain biking is available if you prefer that instead.

Ilulissat
Ilulissat is the destination, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its icebergs. You'll take a zodiac boat out to see the massive icebergs in Ilulissat Icefjord, created by Sermeq Kujalleq glacier. After that, head ashore to explore the town and hike to the icefjord for views from the rocky coastline. If there's time, stop by the local museum about explorer Knud Rasmussen.

At Sea
Today is spent at sea as the ship crosses Davis Strait. Polar experts from different fields give presentations on glaciology, history, wildlife, and other polar topics. These talks help you understand more about the regions you're traveling through.

Pangnirtung
You arrive in Pangnirtung, Nunavut, which sits at the mouth of Pangnirtung Fjord. This community is a center for Inuit culture. Spend time learning about the traditions and checking out local art, especially textiles. Many people pick up a Pang toque, the knit cap that's specific to this town.

Cape Mercy
Cape Mercy is an isolated cove at the southern end of Cumberland Sound. British explorer John Davis named it back in 1585, and it later held a Cold War radar station in the 1950s. A guided shore walk lets you take in the views of Davis Strait from this historic spot.

Torngat Mountains National Park
Torngat Mountains National Park opens up for exploration. Created in 2008, it has Canada's tallest mountains east of the Rockies. You can take zodiac trips, go kayaking, or hike through the landscape, which includes fjords and glacial features. The Inuit have lived here for over 7,500 years, and the name Torngat means place of the spirits in Inuktitut.

Nain
Nain is the administrative center of Nunatsiavut with around 1,200 residents. Check out the Illusuak Cultural Centre to learn about Labrador Inuit heritage through interactive displays. Walk through town to see the historic Moravian Mission complex from 1771, which includes a white church. Try traditional foods like arctic char and cloudberries, and take a guided hike for views of the mountains and sea.

At Sea
Another day at sea as the ship heads south along Baffin Island and Labrador. You can join the expedition staff on deck to look for whales and birds, or just relax with a drink and watch the seascape go by.

Landmarks Baffin Island - Day 12
L'Anse aux Meadows
L'Anse aux Meadows is where you'll spend the day. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the only confirmed Norse settlement in North America. A guided tour shows where Leif Erikson, son of Erik the Red, founded Vinland around 1000 CE. You'll see reconstructed sod huts and Norse ruins that prove Vikings reached North America 500 years before Columbus.

At Sea
Your last full day at sea allows time to ask the expedition team any final questions or attend one more polar presentation. If you want to relax instead, the Tundra Spa and Sauna are available, or you can spend time in the outdoor hot tubs.

St John's
The ship docks in St John's for morning disembarkation. After breakfast, you'll head to St John's International Airport for your onward flight, or stay longer if you've arranged additional accommodation.
