Calgary
You'll arrive in Calgary and check into your hotel. This evening, your Travel Director will host a welcome dinner where you'll meet your fellow travelers and get oriented to the trip ahead.

- Day 2
Lake Louise to Jasper
You'll start your day at Lake Louise, where you can walk along the shoreline and take in the views before grabbing lunch at one of the local spots. From there, you'll head north on the Icefields Parkway, stopping at Big Bend Viewpoint and Sunwapta Falls to break up the drive. Keep an eye out for bears, elk, and mountain goats as you make your way through Jasper National Park. Before settling into Jasper for the next two nights, you'll stop at Athabasca Falls to see the falls up close. The drive itself is the main focus of this day, so you'll want to pace it and take your time at each viewpoint.

- Day 3
Jasper
Start with a leisurely morning in Jasper or join an optional float trip if you prefer something more active. At lunch, you'll have a Be My Guest meal at Maligne Lake Chalet where you'll meet locals and hear their stories about the region. The afternoon includes an entertaining session with Jasper Theater Productions, followed by a scenic cruise across Maligne Lake to see Spirit Island and three surrounding glaciers.

Jasper to Banff
Climb aboard a massive Ice Explorer vehicle designed specifically for glacier travel on the Athabasca Glacier. Your driver-guide shares information about glaciers and their environmental impact while you'll walk on the ice, try fresh glacier water, and take in the snowcapped peaks around you. Later, you'll head toward Banff with a scenic stop at Bow Lake along the way.

Banff
In Canmore, a professional hockey coach will teach you about hockey secrets and superstitions. You'll suit up in full gear and get on the ice to learn scoring techniques. Afterward, choose between a helicopter tour of the Rockies or ride the Banff Gondola up Sulphur Mountain for panoramic views across six mountain ranges.

Banff

Later, back in Banff, you'll meet up with a Cree Guide for a cultural experience focused on the sacred teachings of the buffalo and what they meant for survival and relationships. The evening wraps up with dinner where you and other travelers can share stories from the day over a meal together.

You'll board the Rocky Mountaineer train for the first day of a two-day rail journey through the Canadian wilderness. Settle into your seat and relax as the train travels toward Kamloops, where you'll spend the night before continuing the next day.

Kamloops to Vancouver

Consider booking an extra night in Vancouver to rest without time pressure, or if you're flying home, schedule your flight after midnight to avoid rushing.
