Athens
You'll arrive in Athens and get settled at your hotel. The afternoon and evening are open for you to walk around the capital and get a feel for the place, where ancient ruins sit alongside contemporary city life. Later, you'll meet up with your Travel Director and the group for a casual dinner to kick things off.

Athens
Morning starts with a guided tour through ancient Athens alongside a Local Specialist. You'll see the Acropolis and the Parthenon, check out the Royal Palace, and walk past the Temple of Zeus. After that, the Acropolis Museum shows off the ancient artifacts. You'll spot Hadrian's Arch and the 1896 Olympic stadium from a distance. By afternoon, the day is yours to wander through Plaka, relax in Syntagma Square, or track down some souvlaki around the city.

Athens to Nafplion
This morning you'll cross the Corinth Canal heading toward the Peloponnesian Peninsula. In Corinth, a Local Specialist walks you through this ancient city that different empires fought over. Then it's on to Mycenae where you'll see the Beehive Tombs (also called the Treasury of Atreus), the Lion Gate, and what remains of Agamemnon's Royal Palace. Later you stop in Epidaurus to check out the ancient theatre and the Sanctuary of Asclepius. By evening you're in Nafplion, a Venetian town where dinner waits at your hotel.

- Day 4
Nafplion to Olympia
You'll travel through the Arcadian mountains heading toward Olympia. Along the way, there's a stop at a family-run honey farm where you'll taste thyme honey and learn about traditional practices that help protect the region. Then you explore Olympia, where the Olympic Games started back in 776 BC. This evening brings a Be My Guest experience at the Karabelas family's olive and wine estate with home-cooked food, traditional dancing, and that Greek hospitality you hear about.

Olympia to Delphi
A Local Specialist guides you through Olympic history this morning, covering the ancient Olympic site, the museum, and the Temple ruins of Zeus and Hera. After leaving Olympia, you head north along the coast, cross the Gulf of Corinth, and continue to Delphi. Once there, an optional cooking lesson lets you prepare some local dishes if that interests you.

- Day 6
Delphi to Kalambaka
Following the path ancient Greeks took to seek guidance from the oracle, you walk the Sacred Way to the 4th-century Temple of Apollo with your Local Specialist. You'll see statues of athletes from the Pythian Games. Next, a scenic drive takes you to Thermopylae, where Leonidas and his 300 Spartans made their famous stand against the Persians. You cross through the Thessaly plain, known as Greece's main agricultural area, before reaching Kalambaka.

Kalambaka to Athens
The morning focuses on the UNESCO World Heritage monasteries of Meteora. You'll tour two of the six Eastern Orthodox monasteries sitting on massive rock towers above the town, guided by a Local Specialist. After that, it's a scenic drive back to Athens. Your final evening includes dinner with the travel group where everyone shares stories from the trip through Greece.

You board your ship in Athens and sail into the Aegean Sea toward Mykonos. By evening you're wandering the island's winding lanes where white-washed buildings and bright pink bougainvillea line the streets.

Kusadasi (Ephesus) and Patmos
The ship reaches the Turkish coast and docks at Kusadasi. A complimentary Shore Experience takes you to Ephesus, one of the world's best-preserved ancient cities. You'll walk the Arcadian Way, see the Library of Celsus and the Amphitheatre, and visit the House of the Virgin Mary. Later the ship continues to Patmos, where St. John wrote the Book of Revelations. An optional experience lets you visit the Cave of the Apocalypse and St. John's Monastery if you'd like.

You arrive in Rhodes where there's an optional experience to see one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Medieval knights conquered this island and their presence remains visible in the thick stone walls and gates. The capital's cobblestone lanes are yours to explore at your own pace before heading back to the ship.

The ship sails to Heraklion on Crete where you can explore the Minoan culture at the Palace of Knossos. Your final cruise stop is Santorini, that volcanic island famous for cliff-top villages. An optional Shore Experience brings you to the sun-kissed village of Oia if that appeals to you.
