Itinerary
- Day 1
Valladolid
You'll arrive in Valladolid, the colonial heart of the Yucatán, and connect with your tour leader and group around 6pm. After getting settled at your hotel, there's a welcome dinner lined up featuring traditional Yucatecan cuisine to kick things off.

- Day 2
Valladolid
The morning takes you to Ek'Balam's Maya ruins, just a 30-minute drive out. You'll walk through the structures with your tour leader, then head to nearby Xcanchécentoe for a swim either down steep wooden stairs or by rappel. Back in Valladolid later, you'll get a walking tour through the cobblestone streets, past Franciscan churches, and around the main square.

Valladolid to Uxmal
An hour's drive brings you to Chichén Itzá, and you'll spend the morning exploring El Castillo, the Great Ball Court, the Sacred Cenote, and El Caracol observatory with your guide. Then it's a 3-hour 20-minute transfer to Uxmal where you'll visit the Ecomuseo del Cacao to learn about cocoa and try traditional Maya chocolate. You'll arrive at Hacienda Uxmal for a three-night stay.

- Day 4
Uxmal
Morning focuses on the Uxmal ruins, taking in the Pyramid of the Magician, Nunnery Quadrangle, and Ball Court. After heading back to the hacienda, you'll get turns driving classic Land Rovers around the grounds. There's time to learn about the lime, Maya pumpkin, broccoli, and tomato cultivation, plus you can sample produce and try habanero chillies.

- Day 5
Uxmal to Mérida and back
You'll transfer roughly 1 hour 35 minutes to Mérida, Yucatán's capital. A six-hour cooking class starts at the local market where you'll taste fruits and buy ingredients, then take a public bus to your chef's home to prepare traditional Yucatecan dishes. Later there's a relaxed walking tour of downtown before you head back to the hacienda.

Uxmal to Izamal to El Cuyo
About 1 hour 40 minutes of driving gets you to Izamal, a Pueblo Mágico known for its yellow buildings. You'll visit a traditional medicine center with Maya healer Anilú Patrón Canché, then have lunch at Kinich featuring local dishes and homemade salsas. A bike tour covers the main streets, central square, Kinich Kakm Pyramid for views, Itzamatul Pyramid, and the old railway station. You'll stop at three traditional workshops before a 3-hour 30-minute transfer to the beach town of El Cuyo.

El Cuyo
About 1 hour 50 minutes gets you to Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve with its mangrove forests and salt ponds. You'll join a Maya cooperative on a boat tour through the mangroves and past Las Coloradas, where there's an option to try the mineral-rich mud. After a boxed lunch you'll head back to El Cuyo for free time and a final group dinner.
