- Day 1
Lisbon to Fátima
Pick up your rental car in Lisbon and head north toward Fátima. On the way, you'll stop in Óbidos to spend a few hours walking through the old town. The colorful alleyways wind between whitewashed buildings, and there are local shops tucked along the narrow streets if you want to pick up souvenirs. One of the best parts is walking the centuries-old city walls that surround the town, which give you nice views out over the countryside. After exploring Óbidos, continue on to Fátima, Portugal's holiest city, and settle in for the evening.

Landmarks Óbidos Fátima - Day 2
Fátima
Spend the day in Fátima. The city draws pilgrims from around the world, and there's plenty to see here whether you're interested in the religious sites or just want to understand the local history. Take time to walk around the basilica area and the surrounding streets at your own pace.

Fátima to Évora
Drive from Fátima south to Évora. It's a few hours on the road, so plan for a stop or two along the way if needed. Once you arrive, you'll have time to check out the town center and get settled before dinner.

Évora to Monte Gordo
Head from Évora south toward Monte Gordo near the coast. The drive takes you through different landscapes as you make your way down toward the Algarve. By evening, you'll be at Monte Gordo with its beach and seaside setting.

Monte Gordo
Stay in Monte Gordo for the day. Walk around the beach town, grab lunch by the water, and spend time on the sand or exploring the local area. It's a more relaxed pace after several driving days.

- Day 6
Monte Gordo to Lagos or Sagres
Drive west along the coast from Monte Gordo toward Lagos or Sagres. You'll pass through different parts of the Algarve, and the scenery changes as you go. Depending on which town you choose, you'll arrive with time to settle in and explore the local waterfront or town center.

Lagos or Sagres to Lisbon
Leave the main Algarve area behind and head to the west coast, where you'll see the rugged beauty of Costa Vicentina with its deserted beaches and jagged cliffs. After exploring that coastline, drive back toward Lisbon. Once you arrive, walk along the waterfront promenade and check out Praça do Comércio with its grand plaza and historic arches. Head through Arco da Rua Augusta and make your way to Bairro Alto, where you can see street art on the building walls, find rooftop bars with city views, and experience the area's vibrant nightlife.
