San Cristobal
You'll arrive at San Cristobal Island this morning and meet your Grand Majestic staff member who'll take you to the yacht. After settling into your cabin and having lunch, there's a welcome briefing to get oriented. The afternoon takes you to the David Rodriguez Breeding Center 'La Galapaguera' where you can see giant tortoises and land birds like warblers, finches, and mockingbirds in their protected setting.

Black Turtle Cove
Your morning starts at North Seymour Island where you'll see sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and magnificent frigate birds scattered through the arid vegetation. Later you head to Black Turtle Cove on Santa Cruz's northern coast, reachable only by dinghy. The mangrove-ringed inlet gives you a chance to spot black-tip and white-tip reef sharks, sea turtles, and various rays in the shallow water.

Santiago Island
Start your morning at Bartholomew Island with Pinnacle Rock as your main draw. A stairway trail leads up the extinct volcano's summit in about 30-40 minutes, offering great views across the islands. The beach here is solid for snorkeling, and you might swim with Galapagos penguins. Then in the afternoon you go to Egas Port on Santiago Island where Galapagos hawks, lava lizards, fur seals, tide pools, and grottos wait, with more snorkeling opportunities.

Isabela Island
You'll explore Tagus Cove on Isabela Island this morning, with trails that wind by Lake Darwin and up to a ridge with good views of the area. It's a historic spot used by ships since the 1800s. After that, Urbina Bay sits at the base of Alcedo Volcano on the west coast. The 1954 uplift here raised the land over 16 feet and pushed the coast out half a mile, and the snorkeling is really good.

Fernandina Island
You cross the Bolivar Channel to reach Espinoza Point on Fernandina Island this morning. Walking past marine iguanas and sea lions, the main highlight is seeing the flightless cormorant nesting site while watching for Galapagos hawks. In the afternoon, Vicente Roca Point offers a large bay with two separate coves and solid sea life. Snorkeling here means keeping an eye out for seahorses, sea turtles, and the unusual Mola mola.

Santiago Island
Buccaneer Cove in the morning served as a historic refuge for British buccaneers long ago. Steep cliffs packed with seabirds and dark red sand create the backdrop. From there you check out Espumilla Beach where marine iguanas rest and Sally Lightfoot crabs draw hunting herons. Snorkeling can bring encounters with octopuses, moray eels, sharks, and tropical fish. Later, Sullivan Bay on Santiago's southeast shows interesting geology with lava flows and small volcanic formations.

Santa Cruz Island
Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz's north shore gets your morning for swimming and watching wildlife like flamingos, Sally Lightfoot crabs, hermit crabs, black-necked stilts, whimbrels, and nesting sea turtles. The floating pier from WWII is worth seeing too. The afternoon takes you to the Fausto Llerena Tortoise Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora where giant tortoises are bred, from 3-inch hatchlings to 4-foot adults. The older ones stretch their heads out for photos.

San Cristobal
Your final morning heads to Kicker Rock off San Cristobal's western shore, a couple hours out by boat. These vertically-jutting rock formations rise hundreds of feet above the ocean with a small channel between them. No landing here, but you can circle around to see marine life. After this visit you transfer to San Cristobal airport for your return flight to the mainland.
