Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq
You'll fly from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq, then transfer by Zodiac to the Ocean Albatros ship. After checking in and going through the mandatory safety drill, you'll have dinner and champagne while the ship heads out through the dramatic 160-kilometre Kangerlussuaq fjord.

Evighedsfjorden
The day takes you to Kangaamiut village where you can hike up to the heliport for views across the town and fjordlands, or watch a traditional clothing and seal-flensing display while meeting locals. Later in the afternoon, you'll sail into Evighedsfjorden for a Zodiac cruise near the Evigheds Glacier, looking for calvings and seabirds.

Nuuk
You'll arrive in Nuuk, Greenland's capital, where modern skyscrapers sit alongside traditional wooden houses. Check out the Greenlandic National Museum in Kolonihavn to see artifacts from Paleo-Inuit and Norse periods, including the Qilakistoq mummies. After that, head to Katuaq cultural centre to explore local culture, shop for authentic artwork, or sit at a curbside café.

At Sea
You'll sail south along Greenland's rugged coast while keeping watch for whales, seals, and seabirds. On board there are specialist lectures about history, wildlife, geology and culture, or you can relax with a massage at the Albatros Polar Spa and soak in the hot tubs.

Qassiarsuk - Igaliku
The ship sails through Tunulliarfik Fjord to Qassiarsuk, a sheep-farming village where Erik the Red settled after his banishment from Iceland. You'll reposition at Itilleq for a farm trail hike through green hills to the ruins of the Norse Bishop's palace at Garðar in Igaliku, part of the Kujataa UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Prins Christian Sund
You'll approach Aappilattoq at the end of Prins Christian Sund, a 60-kilometre waterway kept ice-free by strong tidal currents. This legendary strait is surrounded by mountains over 2,000m high, large glaciers flowing into the sea, and sapphire blue mountain glaciers overhead, creating one of Earth's most dramatic natural passages.

Dronning Maries Dal
The ship enters Skjoldungen fjord in southeastern Greenland, a location with vast saw-toothed mountains and opalescent glaciers. You'll join the expedition team for a walk on the flower-lined floor of Dronning Maries Dal, a U-shaped valley at the fjord's head near Thryms Glacier, formed by glacial action.

Sermilik Fjord
You'll head into East Greenland and Sermilik Fjord, which is filled with spectacular icebergs from Helheim Glacier, one of Greenland's largest. Depending on ice conditions, you'll either come ashore to see the scenery and untouched nature, or take Zodiac cruises through the icebergs to see natural ice sculptures.

Ikateq
Kuummiut sits in the calm reaches of Ammassalik Fjord and is one of the larger and most prosperous East Greenlandic villages, home to the region's only fish factory. You'll experience traditional settlement life with sled dogs and sea transport. In the afternoon, head to Ikateq fjord to explore the ruins of a WWII American airbase called Bluie 2 East, abandoned since 1947 with equipment still preserved.

Tasiilaq
You'll arrive at Tasiilaq, East Greenland's largest settlement, where traditions remain strong. Explore Flower Valley on an easy hiking route, visit the museum in the old church to learn about Tunumiit culture, watch a drum dancer perform a millennia-old spiritual tradition, or hike to the hotel for views. You can also browse tupilak carvings directly from artisans at the Stunk Workshop.

During your final day at sea heading toward Reykjavik, you'll enjoy specialist lectures and cocktails in the Nordic Bar with fellow travelers. By evening, join the Captain and Officers for the Farewell Cocktail Party, followed by a presentation of photos and video from the onboard photographer to review your Arctic adventure.
