Itinerary
- Day 1
Bari to Trani
You'll arrive at Bari airport independently and meet your minivan driver who takes you to Trani. Once you've settled into your boutique hotel in the historic center, head up to the rooftop for a welcome aperitif as the sun sets over the port. It's a nice introduction to what's ahead in Puglia.

Castel del Monte
After breakfast featuring local specialties, a guide takes you walking through Trani's historic center. You'll see the cathedral right on the sea, wander the vibrant port area, and check out the charming Jewish quarter. Later in the afternoon, travel to Castel del Monte, the UNESCO fortress Frederick II built. Your local guide explains the site's fascinating history and architectural details.

Trani to Matera
Following breakfast, you head to Matera for a guided tour of the ancient Sassi district. Starting at Piazza Vittorio Veneto, you'll walk through Piazza del Sedile and Via Duomo, then visit the rock churches of Madonna dell'Idris and San Giovanni in Monterrone. You'll also step inside a traditional cave house to see how people lived there. From there, you return to Trani.

Alberobello - Polignano a Mare
After breakfast and checkout, you travel to Alberobello where a guide meets you at 10:30 to explore the UNESCO trulli (those cone-shaped houses everyone recognizes). You'll spend time in the historic districts of Aia Piccola and Rione Monti. Then it's on to Polignano a Mare, where you can walk the clifftop historic center, find the Domenico Modugno statue, and try the local 'special coffee' with its secret preparation method.

Polignano a Mare to Bari
Your final morning starts with breakfast before checkout. Then you visit a traditional local oil mill to learn about Puglia's olive oil tradition. You'll walk through centuries-old olive groves, tour the modern production setup to see how they harvest and press olives, and taste extra virgin olive oil. After that, you transfer to your designated point in Bari, arriving around 1:00 PM.
