Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Reykjavik
You'll arrive at Keflavik Airport and take the Flybus shuttle to your hotel in Reykjavik. The rest of the day is open for you to wander around and get a feel for the city at your own pace.
- Day 2
Reykjanes Peninsula - Blue Lagoon - Hella
Start with a quick orientation tour through Reykjavik, then head out to the Reykjanes Peninsula to see small fishing villages and natural hot springs. You'll spend time at the Blue Lagoon for a soak before traveling to Hella. Later that evening, head out to hunt for the Northern Lights.

Eyjafjallajökull - Skógafoss - Reynisfjara - Hella
This day focuses on Iceland's natural power and waterfalls. You'll see Eyjafjallajökull volcano and glacier, then check out the dramatic Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. There's a stop at the Skogar Folk Museum, and you can choose between an optional glacier hike on Solheimajökull or a walk on the black lava beach at Reynisfjara to see the bird cliffs. Back in Hella by evening for another Northern Lights search.

Golden Circle - Reykjavik
You'll travel back to Reykjavik via the Golden Circle route. Along the way, visit an Icelandic horse stable, check out a geothermal greenhouse, then see the Geysir area where Strokkur geyser erupts roughly every 10 minutes. Drive through Thingvellir National Park and see Gullfoss waterfall before checking into Reykjavik. Your evening is free or you can join an optional Northern Lights cruise.

You have the full day in Reykjavik to do what interests you. Options include booking a whale watching cruise, wandering around the Old Harbour area, or strolling down Laugavegur, which is one of the main shopping streets in the city.

Grabrok - Budardalur - Isafjarður
Head westward toward the Westfjords, starting with the 3,400-year-old Grabrok volcanic crater for views across the valley. Grab lunch in the coastal town of Budardalur, then follow the scenic fjords to Litlibaer where you'll have homemade waffles and coffee at a restored turf house museum overlooking the fjord. You'll arrive in Isafjordur by evening to search for the Northern Lights.

Borgarnes - Reykjavik
Begin your journey back to Reykjavik with a stop in Borgarnes at the Settlement Centre to explore exhibitions about Iceland's early settlement across different buildings. In the afternoon, return to Reykjavik for a guided city tour including Hallgrimskirkja church, the University campus, and the harbour. End the day at the Icelandic Bar to celebrate.
