Passau
You'll board the AMADEUS in Passau, a Bavarian city where three rivers meet. There's a Welcome Cocktail with the crew to kick things off, and the chef has prepared a festive Welcome Dinner for your first evening. The ship stays overnight in Passau so you can settle in.

Passau to Linz
After breakfast, you can take a guided walking tour through Passau's sights or opt for the full-day excursion to Salzburg to see the Advent market and have lunch there. The ship leaves at 10:30am and reaches Linz by 5:30pm. Later in the evening, head out to walk through Linz's Christmas market.

Melk/Emmersdorf to Dürnstein
The ship arrives early in Melk/Emmersdorf in the Wachau region. You can visit either the 900-year-old Melk Abbey or Göttweig Abbey. Christmas is celebrated on board with decorations, carols, and a festive dinner. If you want to attend, there's a Christmas Mass in Dürnstein after dinner. The cruise then heads to Vienna late that night.

On Christmas Day in Vienna, there's a morning city sightseeing tour showing off the capital's architecture and main sights. By afternoon, you'll visit Schönbrunn Palace and its Christmas market with decorated stalls, punch, and gingerbread.

Vienna to Bratislava
The ship docked overnight in Bratislava, and this morning you can explore the city on a coach tour with panoramic views from the castle hill. Return to the ship by midday for it to continue downriver. That evening brings the Captain's Gala Dinner, a formal celebration to close out the second day of Christmas.

Bratislava to Linz
Spend the morning on the ship relaxing while watching the wintery landscape pass by from your five-star accommodations. By midday, you'll arrive in Linz, Austria's third-largest city. There's a guided walking tour available, or you can explore on your own. In the evening, the ship heads toward Passau.
