- Martin· July 22nd, 2024Very well organized, with a brilliant and extremely hard-working tour guide (Graciana). Saw far more than I expected. Particularly liked the times we spent in the National Parks. Not a fan of Mammoth Mountain Inn - the ski runs and cable cars are an eye sore, and massively degrading for the environment. Didn't get to spend time at our destination hotels, or use their facilities. You might consider extending the trip by perhaps 3 days for the same itinerary, giving some badly-needed down-time for guests and tour guides/drivers alike, because the trip really is full-on!Show more

The tour starts in Los Angeles and ends in San Francisco and transportation between the start and end of the tour in the form of a motor coach is included. You will need to book airfare to get to Los Angeles to start the tour, and from San Francisco to return home.

Optional Excursion Prices: Los Angeles Beach Tour $50, Grand Canyon North Canyon Tour $319, Grand Canyon Grand Kingdom $449, Monument Valley ATV Tour $65, Las Vegas Night Tour $60/45, San Francisco Night Tour $55/50, San Francisco Golden Gate and Sausalito Tour $50/45. These can only be booked during the tour with direct payment to the tour guide.

Traveler•Written February 2025Can you help me about meals? I see an additional breakfast package for 338 € per person, which is about 20 € per breakfast. Is this the real cost of breakfast in USA? Could we do it cheaper? What would be a realistic budget for meals and dinners without eating in restaurants? What other expenses should we consider for our budget, besides optional excursions? Even if we don't do optional tours, we can visit the Grand Canyon, right? How is the weather in August, is it too hot?

Breakfast can be less than $20 depending on your choices. Lunch and dinner costs vary, from $20-$25 per person in restaurants. Additional expenses include tips for driver ($4-$6 per day) and tour guide ($4-$6 per day). Grand Canyon National Park admission is included so you can visit without optional tours. Summer temperatures vary: cooler at higher elevations like Mammoth Lakes, very hot in Las Vegas, temperate in San Francisco.
