Itinerary
- Day 1
Nice to Arles
You'll be picked up at Nice airport and driven to Arles where you board the Emerald Cruises Star-Ship. This evening there's a welcome reception and dinner to meet other guests on the cruise.






- Day 2
Arles
Spend the day exploring Arles and its Roman history, including the Amphitheatre where chariot races once happened. You'll learn about Vincent van Gogh's connection to the city and see where he found his creative inspiration. After visiting a local olive farm, you have free time to walk around Arles on your own. Dinner tonight is a Provençal meal hosted by chef Fabien Morreale.

Avignon
A guided walking tour takes you through Avignon to see its papal history and the Palais des Papes with its Gothic architecture. You can browse the local market, then explore the medieval fortified town during free time. Later you'll attend a classical concert, part of the EmeraldPLUS program.

Tournon
As the ship sails down the Rhône toward Tournon, you'll see a 16th-century castle and old watchtowers from the water. You can choose between a guided tour of Tournon with wine tasting or take an active hike through the vineyards.

Vienne

Lyon
You're in Lyon, one of France's largest cities and a former Roman capital. Choose between a guided walking tour that includes the Basilica Notre-Dame de Fourviève or a guided bike tour if you prefer something more active. The city is also known for its Lyonnaise cuisine, so food is definitely worth experiencing here.
