- Katie· October 30th, 2024I was in a group of five, at 81 probably the oldest Kiwi Experience participant you've ever had, but had a wonderful time because the group was warm and inclusive. Most of our group was not interested in white water rafting, bungie jumping, or zip lines but we enjoyed the rest. Our guide was friendly, helpful, and knew the countryside very well. I think he threw in a few little extras, lovely trails and viewpoints he had discovered, all close by and all quite wonderful. We enjoyed getting to know each other and parted friends.Show more
- Bilke· April 18th, 2024The tour itself was really nice and some of the extra activities were nice additions. However, the breakfast options were a bit limited if you can't eat yogurt, eggs or onions. The sleeping options were ok so far but no more. It was sometimes not possible to put your luggage in a room with four people without falling over it.Show more
- Zoltan· March 4th, 2024I participated in all the optional activities and the tour became one of the best ever. I strongly recommend to everyone to do everything! Don't save your money if you traveled through half of the globe. The included programmes are not enough, believe me. We saw so many beautiful places, especially in the south island. The bus was comfortable, we put the baggages into a separate trailer. The accomodations varied but all in all they were all good. I'll might come back one day!Show more

Asked on March 8th, 2025I will be taking a group of 14 people to New Zealand, and I would like to know if it is possible to arrange a customized itinerary. I would love to learn more about the options available for private groups, including transportation, accommodation, and sightseeing tours. Additionally, could you provide me with information on pricing and conditions for this type of service?

Traveler•Written March 2025We are planning a trip for March 2026 and would like an initial proposal to assess its feasibility. Number of travelers: 14 adults. Accommodation: Three-star hotels, in double or triple rooms. Destination: Starting in Auckland, exploring both the North and South Islands, and ending in Queenstown or a nearby city for a convenient return flight. Activities: Visiting as many key tourist attractions as possible in each region. Duration: To be determined based on feasibility and cost. Budget: We do not have a defined budget yet, so we are looking for cost-effective options. We would like to understand the best alternatives to optimize both cost and experience, considering the possibility of a private itinerary for our group or joining a trip with other travelers if it proves to be more economical.
- Kiwi ExperienceOperator•Written March 2025
We can certainly provide you with a private tour in March 2026. Before we can give you a price, do you have an itinerary in mind? If not, I would suggest looking at our tours, either on Tour Radar or our website and let us know if any of them are of interest. We can look to tweak them slightly to make sure they are right for you and your group. We normally provide dorm share accommodation but can look to put you in 3 start hotels as you request.

Asked on January 29th, 2025I will be 66. What activities do you think I could struggle with? Walk around 5 miles,. Not too good on hills for a long time.
- Kiwi ExperienceOperator•Written January 2025
We have walks included in the day to day itinerary, they're not compulsory so you can skip if you'd prefer. In terms of optional activities, you can pick and choose which you'd like to do! Most of the people on our tours do sit within the 18-35 age range, however we do have older travelers as well!

Asked on March 19th, 2024Is this tour unavailable to a female over 40 who is healthier and more fit than most 30 yr olds?
- Kiwi ExperienceOperator•Written March 2024
We don't discriminate by age. We do have a demographic of 18-35 usually, but I'm sure you'll fit in well.
