Rotterdam to Dordrecht

Nijmegen

Bernkastel
Your day starts in Bernkastel, a medieval town that sits right along the Moselle River. The old town center has narrow streets and half-timbered buildings worth walking through at your own pace. In the morning, you might head to one of the local wine shops or a vineyard on the hillside nearby to taste some Riesling, which the region is known for. If you're up for hiking, there's a trail that takes you up to the Landshut Castle Ruins. The walk is moderate and takes a few hours, but from the top you get solid views back down over the river and the town below. Otherwise, you can spend the afternoon just wandering the vineyards at a slower pace, grab lunch at a local spot, and finish the day exploring more of the town's quiet corners.

Sankt Goar to Rüdesheim
