- Harry· November 29th, 2024I have now done trutravels tours and the guides on each of them have been absolutely fantastic! If you are thinking of doing a tour with Trutravels, do not hesitate at all as the guides are there to help with anything and everything and all deserve kudos! As for Roger, he helped to ensure the trip was enjoyable for me being the only male in the group and this included watching Peru vs Canada football game in a bar during our free time. There were no issues at all with transport including buses and trains and tickets to Macchu Picchu. The activities from pottery, cooking classes to mountain biking were suitable for everyone and a the trip was a great blend of history, culture and nature. The hikes were quite tough but Roger and the guides accommodated to our individual needs and speeds and the views were completely out of this world, including Maras Salt Mines, Macchu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain as well as a few hidden gems along the way! On top of this, Roger was very knowledgeable and was amazing at taking all of the photos and videos that everyone wished for! If I can speak on behalf of our group we felt safe at every moment! I am in awe of the Andes and the views will stick with me forever. Our hotels were lovely from Cusco to Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes and each gave a new experience and vibe! Food was incredible along the way too. Zero complaints and almost faultless!!! star holiday!! Last thing, Roger collected money to buy l boxes of water for the trip which saved on plastic and was an ace idea.Show moreReview collected by TruTravels
- Megan· November 29th, 2024Peru is absolutely my favorite country ever. I have never met someone (Roger) who is so obsessed with their country, and he was able to completely justify it. Peru is a country I hope more individuals in the future want to go to. The locals have such beautiful hearts, the food is phenomenal, the landscape is breathtaking (literally lol), and the culture is so unique. Peru definitely has my heart and it’s all thanks to Roger. I am so blessed he was my guide because I can’t imagine having anyone else lead this tour. Roger was organized, knowledgeable, and the perfect combination of professional and fun. Roger even made sure those who arrived early or stayed after the tour ended were well taken care of with plenty of recommendations to choose from. I have been on other group tours and he is definitely one of my favorites. I definitely will be returning to Peru in the future and I hope TruTravels opens up more destinations in Peru with Roger guiding because there is so much more to see.Show moreReview collected by TruTravels
- Shannon· November 29th, 2024Where to begin with Roger… Roger is so so passionate about his country and was so enthusiastic to show us all the highlights! His knowledge was -star, any questions of ours he could answer, and I have learnt an immense amount of information from this trip! Roger is also a very kind and caring man, always making sure we are happy, safe and know what is happening when, organisation was superb! He is an incredibly positive person, and even when we might be struggling, he always knows how to make us feel better and make us feel motivated - PMA ALWAYS! I hope to cross paths with Roger again on a future tour, and if anyone else has the pleasure of having this man as your guide, I want you to know you will have the most AMAZING time! Muchísimas gracias Roger!Show moreReview collected by TruTravels
