  1. Day 1

    Stockholm

    You'll arrive in Stockholm and pick up your rental car at the airport. The rest of the day is free, so you can explore the city at your own pace. There's plenty to see here, from museums to historical sites, and a lot of it is walkable, so you can get a feel for the city without rushing around.

  2. Day 2

    Stockholm to Linköping

    After breakfast at your hotel, spend the morning checking out Stockholm's main attractions like the Town Hall, Royal Castle, Vasa Museum, Skansen, and Millesgarden. In the afternoon, drive about 65km south toward Trosa, a small coastal town known for its wooden houses and waterfront path. From there, continue on to Linköping for the evening.

  3. Day 3

    Linköping to Karlskrona

    You'll have breakfast at your hotel, then head toward Karlskrona. Stop at one of the famous lock stairs on the Göta Canal in the morning. Later, drive to Vimmerby to visit Astrid Lindgren's home and learn about the Swedish author's birthplace with a walk through town. Before arriving in Karlskrona, stop at the elk park to see these large animals up close.

    • Visit Astrid Lindgren's home in Vimmerby

  4. Day 4

    Karlskrona to Malmö

    After breakfast, travel toward Malmö with stops in Mörrum and the coastal town of Kivik. You'll get to Ystad, which is known from the Wallander stories. Spend time here having lunch, walking the cobblestone streets, and checking out museums and galleries. The pastel-colored and half-timbered houses make it worth a longer look. Arrive in Malmö by afternoon.

    Malmö to Gothenburg

    Start with a walk through Malmö's main shopping street, then head north toward Gothenburg. You'll drive via Halmstad and have lunch there by the Nissan River. After eating, stop at Tylosand beach to experience the Swedish coastline. Once in Gothenburg, take a city tour that includes the fish hall, Avenyn avenue, and the Haga neighborhood with its canals and older architecture. Dinner is in a nice spot.

  6. Day 6

    Gothenburg to Örebro

    After breakfast, drive to Marstrand, a well-known seaside resort on Sweden's west coast. Continue to Läckö Castle, which sits in a beautiful location in Västergötland. You'll have time to walk around the castle grounds and have a picnic in the large green spaces nearby. Then drive on to Örebro for the night.

    Örebro to Stockholm

    Spend the morning in Örebro with coffee along Lake Hjälmaren. If you're interested, visit Örebro Castle, a medieval fort that was expanded during the Vasa dynasty. Head to Mariefred to see Gripsholm Royal Castle by Lake Mälaren, which King Gustav Vasa worked on in 1537. By afternoon you'll be back in Stockholm, where you'll take a scenic canal boat tour from Strömkajen through Djurgården, seeing historical buildings and the city skyline.

    It was a unique and wonderful experience. Norway amazed me with its natural beauty, each place more beautiful than the last. I highly recommend it! Not only for the country, but also for V.O.S.'s professionalism; they went above and beyond to accommodate all my requests. The guide Stefano is very professional and has extensive knowledge of Norwegian history and the specifics of each place we visited. The driver Roald is a truly friendly person. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
