Yerevan
You'll land at Zvartnots International Airport and head to your hotel to settle in. Once you're ready, spend the evening walking through Yerevan's main sights. Start at Republic Square where the famous dancing fountains light up, then stroll down Mashtots Avenue to check out the shops and grab coffee at one of the cafes there. The Aram Khachaturian Opera and Ballet Theatre is nearby and worth seeing from the outside. Make your way to the Cascade Complex, which sits up on a hill and gives you great views toward Mount Ararat in the distance. The Mother Armenia statue in Victory Park is another key stop. From there, head to Geghard Monastery, which is built right into the cliff faces and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The monastery gets its name from the legendary lance of Christ. After exploring, you'll do a lavash baking masterclass at a local house, learning to make Armenia's traditional thin bread in a ground oven.
