Tokyo
You'll fly into Tokyo and your driver meets you at the airport for a private car transfer to your hotel. After you check in, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and rest up from travel.

Tokyo
Start with a guided tour through Tsukiji Fish Market where you'll sample sushi, omelets, fried fish cakes, sake, and Japanese tea. Then head to Shinjuku for a three-hour sushi-making class to learn different roll techniques. After that, walk through Shinjuku's shops and restaurants at your own pace. Later, relax at Odaiba Seaside Park to take in the views of Tokyo Bay, and finish the day exploring Shinjuku Golden Street with its 300 izakaya houses.

Mt. Fuji Region
Travel to Fujikawaguchiko, a resort town near Lake Kawaguchi known for its hot springs and attractions. Ride the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway up to Kawaguchiko Tenjozan Park on the lake's east bank where observation decks give you Mt. Fuji views. Then visit Oshino Hakkai, a small village with eight crystal-clear springs fed by hardened lava. You can try the drinkable spring water that's known for its quality.

- Day 4
Hakone to Kyoto
Start your day in Hakone with a cruise on the Pirate Ship across Lake Ashino for Mt. Fuji views. Next, take the Hakone Ropeway to Owakudani, a volcanic site where you'll see crater views and white smoke from sulfur vents. Stop at the legendary black jade shop, then head to Mishima to walk the Mishima Skywalk, Japan's longest suspension bridge at 400 meters with views of Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay. After that, board the Shinkansen bullet train from Odawara to Kyoto and make your way to your hotel to check in.

- Day 5
Kyoto
You have the day free in Kyoto to explore on your own by taxi or public transportation. An optional walking tour is available if you want to visit Arashiyama, a historic area with over 1000 years of culture. Possible stops on that tour include Tenryuji Temple with its gardens, Sagano Bamboo Forest, Togetsukyo Bridge, and the Okochi-Sanso villa featuring traditional Japanese architecture.

- Day 6
Kyoto and Nara
Head to Fushimi Inari Shrine in southern Kyoto to see thousands of vermilion torii gates along trails climbing sacred Mount Inari. Then tour the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum to learn about Fushimi's sake heritage, followed by sake tasting made with traditional methods. Later, travel to Nara and walk through Nara Park where over 1000 deer roam freely (locals consider them messengers of the gods) and deer crackers are available to buy. Finish by visiting Todaiji, one of Japan's most famous temples built in 752 as the head temple for provincial Buddhist temples.
