- Jay· September 12th, 2025Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Japan’s layout and its history. Megumi San always knew how to tour the guide while taking us visitor’s well being into consideration. Everything was done on time and with much time to explore and learn. As an anthropologist it was very enlightening and entertaining to learn about nihon’s culture and lifestyles.Show moreTrip date: September 2025

Asked on July 25th, 2025I am interested in the 13 day Japan trip. I will need to apply for a visa and therefore require proof of all accommodations. Please advise if this can be arranged up to 3 months in advance.
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025
We can provide proof of accommodation to support your visa application. Once you have paid the deposit and secured a spot on the tour, we can arrange this accordingly.

Dan
Asked on July 24th, 2025Is the tour with a coach and a guide. Luggage transfers to and from hotels
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025
The trip uses public transport to get to each activity, including a journey on the famed bullet train. There's an adventure leader with you to help you along the way and share their local knowledge with you. The standard accommodation is dorm shared rooms with the option to upgrade to a private room everywhere apart from for 1 night in Hakone where you will stay in gender separated rooms at a traditional Japanese Ryokan. On both trips you're expect to carry your own luggage which is why we suggest packing light.

Asked on July 19th, 20251 person can join?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025
Yes, these are group tours, so anyone can join and travel with other solo travellers! It is a great way to see Japan and also make friends along the way.

Asked on July 13th, 2025Is it possible to get price quotes for September tour dates? Does the tour allow partial payments?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025
We have three September departure dates available: 1-Sep-25, 8-Sep-25, and 22-Sep-25, all priced at £2,079.00. We require a 10% deposit to secure a space, with full payment needed 70 days before departure. For September dates, full payment is required upfront. Please note all our trips are operated in English.

Asked on June 24th, 2025How many people have already signed up for this holiday? What is the average age? Has the holiday already been confirmed for this departure date? Is the language spoken during this trip English?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written June 2025
All of our trips are operated in English. There's currently 11 of 18 guests booked onto this trip. 4 are male and 7 are female. The age range of the guests is 18 up to mid 40's. The majority of them are solo travellers.

Asked on June 14th, 2025I am considering booking a tour for myself and my niece, who recently graduated high school and is 17 years old. I am 57 years old. Could you please let me know if we are eligible to make this reservation?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written June 2025
You are both eligible for booking this tour. However, please note that this tour includes dorm room as the standard accommodation, meaning you would be sharing with other guests throughout. There is the option to upgrade your accommodation to twin rooms, which you and your niece could share whilst also having some added privacy and comfort. This room upgrade is priced at £880 GBP and applies throughout the tour, apart from in Hakone where all travellers will stay in a Ryokan style home, and will be sharing rooms of 3-4 people. The Kamakura hostel we use is very strict with its minors policy, and under-18 guests can not stay in a dorm even accompanied by their parents/guardians. This is only for 1-night of the tour, so we would need to upgrade you here! This upgrade for 1 night would be £75 GBP.

Asked on June 2nd, 2025Is it safe to book my own flights? Can I arrive before the tour starts and leave after it ends?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written June 2025
We don't include flights in the price of this trip. You would need to arrange these yourself. We can book additional accommodation before and after your trip if needed.
- F
Fiona
Traveler•Written June 2025How do I book additional activities? Will I receive an email with all necessary information? How do I contact the guide?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written June 2025
Most activities are included. Some activities like Kartoon Karting, Sumo Experience with Lunch, and Tea Ceremony with Geisha need advance booking. You can add these through the booking portal. One month before the trip, we send a booking pack with detailed itinerary and group WhatsApp invite.

Fiona
Traveler•Written June 2025For free days in Tokyo, do I need to buy a Suica card for the metro or will it be provided?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written June 2025
You will be given an IC card during the tour with enough money to cover included activities. You can top up if you plan to visit other places during free time.

Asked on May 18th, 2025Will I be able to see cherry blossom in this tour?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written May 2025
The cherry blossom season is from end of May to mid-April. As long as you're travelling during this time you would be able to see the cherry blossoms. When are you looking to travel to Japan?

Asked on May 8th, 2025I am traveling Solo. I see an option for single accomodation but wanted to confirm what kind of accommodation will it be and if its single accommodation available throughout the trip.
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written May 2025
Standard accommodation within the trip price - Dorm Room. This is shared rooms within hostels, where you can expect rooms of 4-8 beds. In Hakone, all travellers will share gender separated rooms of 3-4 people. Additional fee - Single Room Upgrade allows you to stay in a private room throughout the tour, apart from in Hakone.

Jon
Traveler•Written May 2025Whats the accomodation type in Hakone? The tour detail says, apart from Osaka and Hakone. Is private room available in Osaka?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written May 2025
We'll use a traditional ryokan with an onsen in Hakone. It will have traditional rooms with tatami beds and 4 people per room. Private room upgrade is available in Osaka too.
