Extremely disappointed. Optional excursions as sold to us by tour guide, Steen, was completely misrepresented and overpriced. When I tried speaking to Steen about my concerns I was talked down to in a demeaning and patronizing manner. This prompted me to cancel all remaining excursions as I cannot guarantee they will be anything as described by Steen. So upset by this tour.

The overall tour was a great experience. The tour director, Chris Tremlett, was wonderful and the tour was well organised. Although we the itinerary was good, wish we could spend more time in certain places but understand that due to time factor, it may not be possible. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves listening to the history of the various places.

What time does the tour get back to London on the 30th May ?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten June 2025

Guests are dropped off at the tour hotel in London late afternoon/early evening on the last day of the tour (30 May 2026) at approximately 4:30pm. For departure flights, we do not recommend flying in the evening on the last day of the tour, as unforeseen circumstances may arise upon return to London and cause delays. Travel times from Central London to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) can range from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on traffic conditions. A post night in London is strongly recommended and is not included as part of the tour.

Hi Joseph, can you tell me what other excursions are available (extra costs ) so we can plan our expenses-? Also where does the tour leave and return from exactly ?

    • CostsaverOperatorWritten June 2025

The tour will depart from a London hotel and return to London at the end. A pre-night stay in London is required, while a post-night stay is strongly recommended. At present, London hotels are still being validated and are not yet available, as your preferred date is scheduled for next year. Once updates are available, you will be notified after booking.

What's the drop off point as we need to catch a flight back to Rome that night ? Do you know how long it takes to get to Heathrow airport ?

    • CostsaverOperatorWritten June 2025

You will be dropped off at the tour hotel in London in the late afternoon or early evening on the final day of the tour, marking the end of your journey. For departure flights, we do not recommend booking an evening flight on the last day, as unexpected delays may occur upon returning to London. Travel time from Central London to Heathrow Airport (LHR) varies between 40 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions. A post-night stay in London is strongly recommended but is not included in the tour package.
